A surprising inclusion in-game, given that only around 150 of the rifles were ever built. Call of Duty: WWII is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games (who made Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare) for the Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4. Being the fourteenth main game in the series, it is also the first installment to be set in World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, and the fifth main WWII title in the series.
The following weapons appear in the video game Call of Duty: WWII:
Handguns
Colt M1911A1
The M1911A1 returns as the main American sidearm.
Luger P08
The Luger returns from Call of Duty 2 as the main German sidearm.
Mauser C96
The Mauser C96 is available in the game, incorrectly designated the "M712", meaning it commits the error of Black Ops II and Black Ops III in reverse; those games had an M712 Schnellfeuer incorrectly referred to as a C96, where as this game has a C96 incorrectly referred to as an M712. In-game, it also behaves like an M712, firing full-auto and using detachable magazines.
Submachine Guns
Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II
The Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II appears in the game as the "Waffe 28".
M3 "Grease Gun"
The M3 Grease Gun returns from Call of Duty 2.
MP40
The iconic MP40 returns as the main German submachine gun.
PPS-43
The PPS-43 appears, based on the earlier PPS-42 from Call of Duty 2.
PPSh-41
The PPSh-41 appears in the game, along with both the stick magazine, and the drum magazine. It also seems to have the early version of the sights. One thing to note is that it uses a PPS-43 magwell, even with the drum mag, which clips right through the magwell.
Thompson M1A1
The Thompson M1A1 is available in the game, incorrectly referred to as the M1928 variant: while US soldiers did use the M1928 early in their involvement in WW2 since the M1 did not enter service until April 1942, the gun shown in the game has the triangular rear sight guard "ears" of an M1A1, an unribbed barrel, and does not appear to have a Cutts Compensator. The extended magazine attachment gives it a drum magazine, which is incorrect: while an actual M1928 could accept a drum, the simplified M1 and M1A1 lacked this feature since the drum was deemed too heavy and unreliable for combat.
Type 100 submachine gun
The rare Type 100 submachine gun returns from World at War, which is a bit out of place considering that the Imperial Japanese forces do not make an appearance in this game.
Shotguns
M30 Luftwaffe Drilling
The rare M30 Luftwaffe Drilling shotgun is available, albeit only the shotgun barrels are used. The "Rifle Bullet" attachment does allow the rifle barrel to be used; this basically fires a powerful rifle round with comparable range and damage to that of a sniper rifle.
Sawed-Off Double Barreled Shotgun
The sawed-off shotgun returns from World at War. Despite their similar appearances, the M30 drilling and the sawn-off are not the same weapon.
Walther Toggle-Action
The rare Walther Toggle-Action shotgun will be available, simply referred to as "Toggle Action". It erroneously feeds from a detachable box magazine (or drum when the extended magazine attachment is equipped) rather than its internal tube magazine.
Winchester Model 1897 Trench Gun
The Winchester Model 1897 returns from World at War, with an incorrect 7-10 shell capacity.
Assault Rifles
StG-44
The Sturmgewehr 44 returns from World at War.
StG-44k
The semi-fictive StG-44 Kurz (short) can be seen in the MP Reveal Trailer. It seems to be a shorter version of the StG-44 with a cut down gas system and MP40 style folding stock.
Rifles
FG 42
The FG42 returns from World at War.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k returns from World at War, fitted with an inexplicable box magazine.
Kbsp wz. 38M
The Kbsp wz. 38M (Karabin samopowtarzalny wzór 38M) appears in the game, simply referred to as the "Karabin". A surprising inclusion in-game, given that only around 150 of the rifles were ever built. It incorrectly features a detachable magazine like the Gewehr 43; the real-life rifle has a non-detachable magazine fed by Mauser stripper clips, which would be impossible because the scope of the sniper variant is blocking it.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T)
The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T) appears in the game, referred to as the "Commonwealth". Like the Springfield, it is still loaded with stripper clips even though the scope is blocking the magazine; it also replenishes all 10 rounds with just one clip.
M1 Carbine
The M1 Carbine returns from World at War, still labeled as the "M1A1". It also has a bayonet lug, which could be considered anachronistic but some carbines were fitted with it in 1945.
M1 Garand
The iconic battle rifle of the American forces makes a return in this game. Like in World at War, the weapon can be reloaded mid-clip, though it makes the ping sound and ejects the clip anyway.
Springfield M1903
The Springfield M1903 returns from World at War as an available sniper rifle. The rifle can incorrectly be loaded with stripper clips even if the scope is blocking the magazine.
Machine Guns
Browning M1919A4
The Browning M1919A4 machine gun returns from World at War as a mounted machine gun.
Bren Mk1
The Bren Gun returns from Call of Duty 3, replacing the Type 99 Light Machine Gun featured in World at War.
Lewis Gun
The Lewis Gun appears as a new LMG in this game. The barrel shroud is removed, making it resemble the aircraft-mounted variant, but the gun still has the stock of the infantry variant.
M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle
The BAR returns from World at War, though this time it fires faster.
M1941 Johnson machine gun
The M1941 Johnson machine gun appears as another new LMG in the game. It is incorrectly categorized as a rifle instead of a light machine gun.
MG15
The MG15 machine gun is yet another new LMG in the game. Although the gun was originally designed to be mounted on aircraft, a few guns were fitted with bipods and converted for infantry use. The MG34 would be a more suitable weapon.
MG42
The iconic MG42, also known as "Hitler's Buzzsaw", returns from World at War in both mounted and man-portable versions.
