As for the HD re-release, I had heard about that, but it seems unlikely, or at best, unclear, that it'll be released as such on Netflix, and since that's where I'm doing it all from, well, kinda stuck for the time being anyway. They may still release here in the US and/or on something else, such as Amazon Plus, but again, not sure. The last couple/few seasons are done in a decent widescreen format as it is, it's mainly the earlier seasons that won't be so good. Either way, it would be waiting longer and putting off work on a page/series long overdue for some kind of overhaul, and the wait may amount to nothing. I really wanted to get the series more to standard on the site, and in fact would have started on it earlier if other things didn't come about - The page is kinda hodge-poged with the screencaps, some sections have none at all while on others, even standard definition caps (proper ones) would be considerably better than some of the existing ones on the page anyway. I will leave some of the images as-is, as the ones I'd get wouldn't really be any better. All-told, since I already have to go back through the series to really get it set-up for individual season pages anyway, may as well get those caps now for the sake of completeness. If we do get a better source for caps later on, that can be dealt with then. I'm saving a log of where most of these guns appear in the show, so that'll make things easier for myself or whoever decides to go for the HD stuff down the road. | − | I've been finding a lot of methods in the digital releases that allows me to screencap them without the digital copyright limitations kicking in. For one of them, most digital download providers have a video player option where you can see the video's native resolution and when you open the file, it automatically opens it at its native resolution where you can then stretch or decrease in size depending on the screen resolution. At that point, I use tools such as Snipping Tool and Fraps (although it is not very reliable at times) to capture the entire screen with some user input on how much of the screen I want to capture. Then, I resize them to its "native" resolution and stretch them slightly in a way that's not noticeable to keep it at a good reasonable size that is still good quality. There's a lot of methods of bypassing them, but these are one of them. As a matter of fact, iTunes released Captain America: The Winter Soldier a couple of hours earlier than normal for some reason. Well, yes and no. Thing is, the blu-ray editions of 1985 incarnation are coming and the image quality of the PAL DVD collection I have is so "acceptable to unworkable" that it tends to make firearm identification harder than necessary. I see you have dumped the archived data on Season 5 and 6, but currently, I keep that stuff in discussion. I have some stuff already at Season 2's discussion page. But if you have yearning to do all the other seasons, I won't stop you. But once blu-rays of all the seasons are out, I'll get back to work with more conviction. Splitting up the Star Wars pages
I am planning to split all the Star Wars "trilogy" pages into their individual film pages. The current format makes it difficult for readers to tell what weapons are found in each of the individual movies, and it's an unnecessary deviation from the format of the rest of the wiki. There is some support for this as can be seen on the Star Wars talk page. - Howdy! I've added the M1 Garand to Fargo Season 4 & supplied screenshots, but they're not the best quality. It seems you may have a better source than I do. Contacting bunni
Hello Ben41. As you may know, recently me and several other IMFDB users have been trying to find ways to resolve issues related to IMFDB accounts reported by several off-site IMFDB users (more details here). We have been trying to contact site owner bunni about this issue, but it has been difficult to reach them. Especially since a similar attempt to contact bunni back in 2021, posted directly on their talk page, did not receive any replies.
I have been suspecting that the contributions made by bunni the account, which since at least the last year have consisted exclusively of creating new user pages, is an automated process, and that bunni the user is actually no longer an active user of IMFDB. This makes it far more difficult to contact bunni, in turn making it far harder to resolve the issues related to account creation that we're currently facing. When fixing the broken titled pages, you should use the "Move" tool found under the "More ˅" menu next to the edit button.
