| − | The short answer is that yes, you need to create a new one. The longer answer is that (in theory) you could use parsing functions to making templates that are all based off of one template so that the new templates would all look the same, but this restricts the format and would take hours and hours of coding. Each template is different (compare the [[Template:1911|1911 Template]] to the [[Template:Tom Clancy Series|Tom Clancy]] template). Now what we could and I think should do, is change the sub-categories to something like "Media Seires" and "Gun Series" (separating 1911 from Tom Clancy). At the end of the day tho, eventually there are going to be a lot of templates but if you concern is that there will be a lot to sift through, there is always an easier way to add the template. When you create a new template, you know what its called and you add it to the pages as you create it. If you are creating a new page and need to add it to the template, and the template to the page, just go to another page in the series. In other words, if you are adding "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4" (no such thing... yet...), just go to the Modern Warfare 2 page and copy and paste the code from the bottom.
