Splinter Cell: Conviction:"Like any man, when he's pushed to his limits, he's capable of anything."
Medal of Honor (2010):"Warriors are born from loyalty, love of neighbor and country, and a desire to protect and safeguard. Their actions are precise, principled, determined, and committe to act selflessly for the benefit of others. To those men that make every sacrifice to become what they are. FOR HONOR. FOR COUNTRY. FOR BROTHER."
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots:"War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. War - and its consumption of life - has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID-tagged soldiers carry ID-tagged weapons, use ID-tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored and kept under control. War has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control... All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield... controls history. War has changed. When the battlefield is under total control... War becomes routine."
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne:"The past is a puzzle, like a broken mirror. As you piece it together, you cut yourself, your image keeps shifting. And you change with it. It could destroy you, drive you mad. It could set you free."
Fallout Series:"War, war never changes."
Duke Nukem Forever:"I came, I saw, I kicked ass!"
Scarface: The World is Yours:"Why don't you make like a hermaphrodite and go fuck yourself!"

About me

My name is Peter. I'm 23 from Slovakia, but my nationality is Hungarian.
One day I was searching for information about the weapons in the video game Splinter Cell: Conviction and I found this site. Since I like guns and the Conviction page looked like crap, after buying and completing the game, I added a sh#tload of images to the page. After that I gathered all my old games (like Pandora Tomorrow, The Sum Of All Fears or Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory) and created pages for them. I spend about 3-4 hours daily on IMFDb, contributing mainly on video game pages. I must note that some of my screenshots were supplied by my friend "OrcF#$ker", because he also likes weapons but has no time to upload images and doesn't know heck about the wiki-code.
I usually screencap video games only, because it is much easier, and almost each time I can choose the scene and angle to get the best pic possible. Sometimes I use cheats, hacks, trainers or the developer console (see the Velvet Assassin page) to get some cool images. Here's how I screencap: I add the game to Steam and then simply press F12 and Steam will take care of the rest. After that I edit the image in IrfanView or Photoshop to enhance it if needed. I know that I should not alter the screenshots, but sometimes I mess around with the contrast or gamma to make the guns see clearly. If I'm not to tired I even remove the crosshair or other elements of the HUD.
What I don't like about this site is that some users and/or moderators are too ignorant and always undo edits. They cannot realize that some is just trying to help.
What IMFDb needs is to disallow the uploading of PNG's stolen from the official Call of Duty Wikia. If you are one of those users, don't fucking do that!!!

My Steam username is: Evan Stone Fan, add me if you wish. Currently playing: Splinter Cell: Conviction
Battle.net username: EvanStoneFan, playing Starcraft II and will Diablo III if it will come out in this decade.

Some of my favorite weapons:

Beretta 92FS, SIG-Sauer P226R, CheyTac M200 Intervention, Glock 18C, Steyr AUG PARA, Barrett REC7, Izhmash AK-103, Heckler & Koch HK416

Weapons I have fired:

Makarov PM - standard issue of the Slovak police (yeah, I know they should "upgrade")
K100 - Slovak semi-auto pistol made by Grand Power (sold in the U.S. by STI International as the "GP6")

My favorite actors: Christian Bale, Bruce Willis, Terry Crews, Robert Downey Jr., Angelina Jolie
My favorite movies: Inception, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, T2, Black Hawk Down, The Expendables, Die Hard, 16 Blocks, Heat, U.S. Marshals, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy
My favorite video games: Splinter Cell: Conviction, Half-Life 2, Medal of Honor (2010), Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, StarCraft & StarCraft II, Diablo series, Far Cry 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Mass Effect series, Portal 1 & 2, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Commandos series, Bioshock, Colin McRae Dirt series, Gears Of War series and many-many more...

Call of Duty vs. Battlefield?

Which one is the ultimate shooter? Honestly, both suck monkey balls. COD games are like stupid low-budget action movies directed by Uwe Boll. No offense. Stupid AK(S)-74Us and lever-action guns dominate all maps. Not to mention the converted G17. In Battlefield the weapons and reload animations are low class and the hit detection is also poor. The best single-player campaign I encountered while playing Medal of Honor (2010). In my opinion that is the best shooter out in our Universe. I also like Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games because they offer some sort of reality and realistic weapons and attachments.

Clive Barker's Jericho (2007)

Clive Barker's Jericho is a supernatural horror-themed first-person shooter developed by MercurySteam in conjunction with Clive Barker and published by Codemasters (Operation Flashpoint series). The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2007.

The story follows a Special Forces team called Jericho. The player assumes the role of Captain Devin Ross, the leader of the team. The other team members are: Captain Xavier Jones, Lt. Abigail Black, Sergeant Frank Delgado, Sergeant Wilhelmina Church, Corporal Simone Cole and Father Paul Rawlings. Captain Ross dies in the very first part of the game, but his soul lives on. He becomes capable to possess other humans, enabling the player to switch to other members of the team on the go.

As the Jericho team advances into the Breach, it takes them back through time. The developers realized that finding a box of 5.56x45mm ammo in the middle of a Medieval castle would be unrealistic and not credible, instead of that they came up with a better, but also unrealistic idea: After reaching certain checkpoints Corporal Cole can restore the health and ALL ammo of the squad by using her arm-mounted super computer.

The following weapons can be seen in the game Clive Barker's Jericho:

__TOC__<br clear=all>

IMI/Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX

Father Paul Rawlings uses two silver Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistols akimbo-style. Both pistols are fitted with 15-round extended magazines and are converted to full-auto. The pistols can be fired separately using the primary and secondary fire keys. The Mark XIX can fire normal, explosive or frag bullets. The one is his left hand is called "Destiny", the other one is "Faith".

IMI/Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX - .50AE

Heckler & Koch MP7 Prototype

The MP7 Prototype is used by Sergeant Wilhelmina 'Billie' Church in akimbo fashion with a samurai sword. The weapon is modeled with a 20-round magazine, which incorrectly holds 30 rounds. It also features an incorrect 3-round burst fire mode. Appears as "Kenjuu" in the game.

Heckler & Koch MP7 Prototype (also known as H&K PDW) - 4.6x30mm

Heckler & Koch G36KV

Both Ross and Jones use a H&K G36KV as their standard weapon in the game. The gun is modeled with straight magazines, which hold 45 rounds, however their length are the same as the standard G36 magazines. The guns are equipped with H&K's "2-round burst" receivers, enabling semi-auto, 2-round burst and fully automatic fires. In addition to that both weapons are fitted with a fictional semi-automatic under-barrel shotgun attachment. (According to Wikipedia that UBSG is the M26 MASS, however it does not look like an actual M26 and also the operation is completely different.) The shotgun attachment is magazine-fed, with a 5 shell capacity. The G36KV appears as "Patrioteer" in the game.

Heckler & Koch G36KV - 5.56x45mm NATO

Heckler & Koch XM8 Compact

Corporal Simone Cole uses an XM8 Compact carbine. It is equipped with a fictional hi-tech scope that can highlight enemies through walls and display their health levels. This gun, just like the H&K G36KV is modeled with a normal-length, straight magazine but holds 45 rounds. The 3-round burst option is also present on this weapon, too. The XM8 appears as "X-86 Gun" in the game.

Fabrique Nationale GL-1

A custom-built, extra long FN GL-1 grenade launcher is mounted on Lt. Abigail Black's sniper rifle. It is fitted with an M320-style grip and an L.E.D. that turns red when the launcher is not loaded. Up to ten grenades can be carried for it.

FN GL-1 - 40mm

General Dynamics GAU-19/A

Sergeant Frank Delgado's primary weapon is a portable version of the GAU-19/A. This devastating weapon can tear down enemy hordes and has a surprisingly low recoil. Up to 1000 rounds can be carried for it.

General Dynamics GAU-19/A - .50 BMG. Here pictured with Jet pilot, Helicopter pilot, and infantry soldier's helmets, and belt of .50 BMG ammo.

Bren Gun

Allied soldiers are using Bren guns during the World War II levels. The machine guns are fitted with bayonets, shorter barrels, and the carry handles are removed.

Bren Gun Mk2 - .303 cal

MG42

Several pillboxes can be seen fitted with MG42 machine guns when the Breach takes the Jericho team to the second World War. Due to the demonic possession, all the MG42's fire blue, laser-like beams instead of real bullets.

MG42 - 7.92x57mm Mauser
