The sixth season is created by Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple. As they continue their peaceful lives, the residents of Alexandria soon face danger inside the walls in the form of a group of brutal savages known as “The Wolves”. Meanwhile, Rick and the others lead a huge herd of walkers trapped in a quarry. Thus in the dangerous outside world they encounter a group of the hostile "Saviors" gang. Making a pact with another newfound farming community, Hilltop, the Alexandrians attack one of the Saviors' outposts, not even realizing the size and danger of the group. The season consists of sixteen episodes and was premiered on October 11, 2015 on AMC.

Revolvers

Colt Python

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continues to carry his nickel-plated six-inch barreled Colt Python in Season 6. He fires the revolver at walkers in "First Time Again" (S6E01) and some Wolves members in "Thank You" (S6E03). Rick unloads his revolver in "Now" (S6E05) and gives it to Ron Anderson (Austin Abrams) to teach him to shoot. He carries the holstered revolver in "Heads Up" (S6E07) and fires it at walkers in "Start to Finish" (S6E08). The Python is seen holstered in "No Way Out" (S6E09). Encountering a stranger in "The Next World" (S6E10) Rick points the gun at him. He aims it in "Knots Untie" (S6E11) and "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12). Rick executes the captive Savior at the end of "The Same Boat" (S6E13) and uses it in "East" (S6E15). At the end of "Last Day on Earth" (S6E16), the Savior (John Copeland) takes the revolver from Rick.

Colt Detective Special

Carol (Melissa McBride) continues to carry a Colt Detective Special in Season 6, notably in "JSS" (S6E02) during the Wolves' attack on Alexandria. She carries the holstered revolver in "Now" (S6E05), "Heads Up" (S6E07) and "Start to Finish" (S6E08). Due to a continuity error, in one scene at the beginning of "Start to Finish" (S6E08), Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh) holds a stunt replica of nickel-plated Colt DS instead of her Ruger SP101. Carol carries the holstered revolver in "No Way Out" (S6E09), "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12) and aims the gun at an Savior at the beginning of "The Same Boat" (S6E13). She carries it holstered in "Twice as Far" (S6E14). Carol points the gun at Morgan forcing him to leave in "Last Day on Earth" (S6E16). A Savior named Roman (Stuart Greer) takes possession of Carol's revolver and shoots her later in the episode.

Colt Detective Special - .38 Special

While undercover as one of the killed Wolves, Carol shoots another Wolf during the Alexandria massacre in "JSS" (S6E02).

The Colt in the holster of an unconscious Carol is seen in "Start to Finish" (S6E08).

Carol's revoler is seen in the holster at the beginning of "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12).

She aims the Detective Special at the Savior at the beginning of "The Same Boat" (S6E13).

Ruger Speed Six

After losing his gun Daryl (Norman Reedus) starts using a Ruger Speed Six with Pachmayr grips, going on a supply run in "The Next World" (S6E10). A stranger he meets, Paul "Jesus" Rovia (Tom Payne), briefly takes possession of the gun. Daryl aims the revolver at Jesus at the beginning of "Knots Untie" (S6E11).

Heath (Corey Hawkins) fires the B76 at walkers in "First Time Again" (S6E01).

He fires at walkers as Michonne and David climb over the fence in "Thank You" (S6E03).

The holstered gun is briefly seen in "No Way Out" (S6E09).

Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Bruce (Ted Huckabee), Sturgess (Jonathan Kleitman), and two other Alexandrians (Anne McBrayer Childress and Elizabeth Houston) carry holstered Beretta 92FS pistols in "First Time Again" (S6E01). During the Wolves' attack on Alexandria in "JSS" (S6E02), Carol (Melissa McBride) takes the pistol from the armory and hands it to Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam). Sturgess fires the pistol at walkers in "Thank You" (S6E03). Bruce and Carl (Chandler Riggs) carry holstered pistols in "Now" (S6E05). Abraham carries his Beretta with wood grips in "Always Accountable" (S6E06). At the end of the episode, Daryl (Norman Reedus) is briefly seen with the holstered pistol behind his back as he and Dwight dig holes. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) picks up the pistol with wood grips offering it to Ron in "Heads Up" (S6E07). Carl also carries the pistol in a holster in the same episode. The Saviors Lieutenant named Paula (Alicia Witt) is armed with the Beretta with wood grips in "The Same Boat" (S6E13). Glenn (Steven Yeun) loads two pistols, one with wood grips and one with standard grips, into an crate of weapons in "East" (S6E15). In the same episode, Savior named Miles (Reece Fleetwood) fires the gun at Carol, until she takes the gun away. He also carries the gun in a holster at the beginning of "Thank You" (S6E03), and after his death, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) takes the gun and puts it in his bag.

After his death, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) picks up the gun from the ground and after checking the magazine gives it to Morgan (Lennie James) for self-defense. Morgan fires at Savior in "Last Day on Earth" (S6E16).

CZ 83 - .32 ACP

During the Wolves' attack on Alexandria in "JSS" (S6E02), Carol (Melissa McBride) takes the pistol from the armory and hands it to Morgan (Lennie James) but he gives it to Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam). An Alexandria resident named David (Jay Huguley) carries the pistol in a holster in "Thank You" (S6E03). Maggie (Lauren Cohan) picks up and loads the gun from Alexandria's armory in "Now" (S6E05). After losing his S&W M&P, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) starts using the Glock as a sidearm in "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12). Hilltopper named Andy (Jeremy Palko) picks up what appears to be the Glock 17 from the killed Savior (Carlos Aviles) and hides it behind his back. Another Savior (Scott Hunter) also fires the gun during the gunfight. The Savior named Molly (Jill Jane Clements) is armed with the Glock 17 in "The Same Boat" (S6E13). Rick shows Ron (Austin Abrams) how to properly use the gun in "Heads Up" (S6E07), then gives it to him. Ron is about to attack Carl with the gun in "Start to Finish" (S6E08), but after fighting back Carl (Chandler Riggs) forces him to give it up. Michonne is also seen with the holstered gun in the same episode and in "No Way Out" (S6E09). Enid finds a book with a gun hidden inside in "No Way Out" (S6E09) that Glenn (Steven Yeun) uses breaking through walkers. Morgan (Lennie James) continues to carry a heavily customized YHM Desert Enforcer fitted with a 11.5 inch barrel, four prong muzzle-brake, low profile gas-block, tan Magpul MOE furniture, MVG vertical foregrip, Magpul PMAG, and a C-More reflex sight in the flashback in "Here's Not Here" (S6E04). Rosita (Christian Serratos) uses Morgan's carbine in "Not Tomorrow Yet" (S6E12) and "The Same Boat" (S6E13) attacking the Saviors' satellite outpost. She also carries and uses the carbine in "Twice as Far" (S6E14) and "East" (S6E15) before losing it to the Saviors. One of the Saviors (Christopher Parker) from Dwight's group briefly confiscates the gun from Rosita in "Twice as Far" (S6E14). She also uses the Desert Enforcer in "East" (S6E15) until she loses it completely after being captured. This gun is an anachronism since the outbreak started in 2010 and the rifle was introduced to the US market in 2012.

A Savior (Brandon Gamble) wields the shotgun in the far back middle in the post credits scene in "Start to Finish" (S6E08).

Remington 870 Police Magnum

A Remington 870 Police Magnum with a short barrel and a SpeedFeed stock is used by a Savior (Marian Green) at the end of "The Same Boat" (S6E13). The same shotgun is also used by another Savior (Lairent Williams) in "Twice as Far" (S6E14) and "East" (S6E15). Another custom Remington with short barrel, rear sight, and Police folding stock with pistol grip is used by the second Savior (Zach Ball) in the same episodes.

Alexandria construction worker named Carter (Ethan Embry) is armed with a Remington 870 Wingmaster in "First Time Again" (S6E01). At the end of the episode, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) takes the gun away from him and gives it to Michonne (Danai Gurira). An Alexandria resident named David (Jay Huguley) is armed with the shotgun in "Thank You" (S6E03). The Savior named Neil (Robert Walker Branchaud) carries the Wingmaster in "Twice as Far" (S6E14).

Remington 870 Wingmaster - 12 gauge

Stryker Strykezone 380

Daryl (Norman Reedus) continues to use his Stryker Strykezone 380 crossbow in Season 6. He shoots the walkers at the beginning of "First Time Again" (S6E01) and uses it in "Always Accountable" (S6E06) threatening Dwight. Later he is forced to surrender it to Sherry (Christine Evangelista). Dwight (Austin Amelio) holds Daryl's Stryker in "Twice as Far" (S6E14) and at the end of the episode, Daryl gets his crossbow back. Daryl carries the crossbow in "East" (S6E15) but loses it again. Dwight aims it at the end of "Last Day on Earth" (S6E16).

Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) finds an undead soldier with an Airtronic RPG-7 on the gun belt hanging from the edge of a bridge in "Always Accountable" (S6E06) and takes it along with a case of extra warheads with him. Daryl (Norman Reedus) fires the weapon in "No Way Out" (S6E09).

Airtronic RPG-7 - 40mm

In "Always Accountable" (S6E06), an undead soldier has the Airtronic RPG slung over a shoulder.

Abraham finds the case filled with RPG's.

He brings the rocket launcher and the warheads to the office.

Daryl (Norman Reedus) lowers the RPG after the shot at the beginning of "No Way Out" (S6E09).

Alexandria Arsenal

The Alexandria arsenal is seen again in Season 6. Notably in "First Time Again" (S6E01), "JSS" (S6E02), "Now" (S6E05). A cart with the Savior's weapons is seen at the end of "Twice as Far" (S6E14). Maggie and Glenn load weapons into a bins to create a few weapons caches before a possible battle with the Saviors in "East" (S6E15).

One of the trash cans used as a weapons stash contains an M4A1 with the PMAG and the vertical grip that Glenn later takes, a MR556 and two Beretta 92FS pistols, one with wood grips and one with standard grips. Note the "MR 556 A1" marking can be seen on the lower receiver in this shot.

Morgan's Arsenal

Morgan's King County arsenal, the same one that appeared in Season 3, is seen again. Though it's barely visible in the episode itself, the production shot ahows a detailed look.

The same M16, a FN FS2000, an AK variant with a drum magazine and an M14 are seen behind Glenn and Heath, as well as a Crosman M4-177, a M1 Carbine with Universal Folding Stock and a pistol rack with various pistols, including Glocks, Beretta 92FSs and S&W 5906, are seen on the right.
