The first season tells 9 stories (originally planned 10, but due to COVID-19 pandemic one of them was postponed) from alternate universes that arose after the events of Loki. For example, in the first episode, Peggy Carter becomes a Super Soldier instead of Steve, in the second, T'Challa becomes a Star-Lord, and so on. Despite the format of the anthologies, all the episodes are linked by a coherent plot. The first season premiered on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.

Colt M1911A1
Captain Carter (voice of Hayley Atwell) and Bucky Barnes (voice of Sebastian Stan) use Colt M1911A1 pistols in "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01).
Colt M1917 Revolver
Luger P08
A HYDRA assassin named Heinz Kruger armed with a Luger P08 pistol during a sabotage at SSR Brooklyn Facility in "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01). Now he chooses other targets and kills Chester Phillips and wounds Steve, instead of killing Abraham Erskine, as in the movie.

As in the original film, Peggy Carter is armed with a Walther PPK in "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01). She uses it to kill Kruger and after that drops the gun to the floor while helping the injured Steve.

Kruger's Bomb
As in the original film, Heinz Kruger, a HYDRA top assassin, uses a detonator disguised as a lighter to activate the bomb, and then sabotages in "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01). But unlike the original movie, Kruger placed the bomb in a rectangular metal case next to the control panels, while in the film the bomb itself was not visible, and the explosion took place in the observation room.

Panzerkampfwagen VI "Tiger"
The HYDRA uses a variety of heavy Tiger tanks throughout "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01). First, one tank is covered by a detachment of infantry storming Castle Rock Tower where the Tesseract is hidden. A few heavy Tiger tanks attacks Captain Carter and Howling Commandos in "What If... Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?" (S1E01)., but HYDRA Stomper destroys it. Carter also destroys one, damaging the tracks.
Iron Man's Repulsors
Zombified Tony Stark aims at someone with one of his palm repulsors.

Robot's Guns
Some kind of guns mounted on robots that are involved in a battle between Wakandan Royal Guard.
Stark Industries Rocket
As in the original film, Stark's rocket hits a rock, next to Tony, but unlike the movie, Killmonger throws it aside, saving him.
Vibranium Gauntlets
A vibranium gauntlets are used by Shuri.

A Quad Blasters are used by T'Challa as Star-Lord in Episode 2.
