Spider-Man: Far From Home is the 2019 sequel to 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, the sequel finds Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his schoolmates traveling to Europe on vacation and soon find themselves in various life-threatening situations while encountering Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), a mysterious individual who claims to be from another universe. Jon Watts returns from Homecoming to direct and returning from the MCU are Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The sequel is the final film of "Phase 3" of the MCU. Jon Watts would complete this trilogy of Spider-Man films with the 2021 sequel, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
