Octopussy is the 13th entry in the official James Bond film series. The 1983 installment follows James Bond (Roger Moore) as he travels to India and West Germany while investigating the death of a "00" agent who was in possession of a rare Fabergé egg. Of note is the switch from Bond's traditional Walther PPK to the then-new Walther P5 and for one of the earliest appearances of the Steyr AUG. This film was also released the same year Sean Connery returned to the role of Bond in the rival film Never Say Never Again.
The following weapons were used in the film Octopussy:
Handguns
Colt Government
In the opening sequence, a bearded, hefty, lascivious cigar-smoking South American V.I.P. (Brian Coburn) (suspiciously a Fidel Castro look-alike), and Bond (Roger Moore) is seen with holstered Colt Covernment pistols. After getting caught trying to plant a bomb inside the hangar, Bond's gun is taken by a South American Officer (Michael Halphie) who holds it to his back and takes him into custody.
Colt Junior
Octopussy (Maud Adams) carries a nickel plated Colt Junior with pearl grips during the attack on Kamal's palace that is knocked out of her hand by Gobinda (Kabir Bedi). One is also featured in the opening credits.
Makarov Pistol
The PM feature prominently in the opening credits.
Walther P5
The Walther P5 is the sidearm of James Bond (Roger Moore) in this film, despite having told Q that he "mislaid my PPK". The P5's use was to appease Walther, who wanted to promote the new pistol. Interesting to note is that the P5 was the same pistol used by Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again, the rival film version of Bond released the same year as Octopussy.
Exact Model (Cap Gun)
Held by one of the hands in the opening credits is an Exact model cap gun made by Edison Giocottali.
Walther PPK
Bond's trusted Walther PPK makes an appearence in the opening credits.
Jaguarmatic Model (Cap Gun)
Another hand holds the Jaguarmatic model cap gun.
TT Pistol
General Orlov (Steven Berkoff) carries what appears to be a TT pistol in his holster. He uses it to smash a Fabergé egg to peices for causing them problems by leading Bond there.
Smith & Wesson Model 39
Kamal Khan (Louis Jourdan) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 39 on the train.
SIG P210
Kamal's gun becomes a SIG P210 as filming switches from studio to on location work on the railroad,
Colt Python
One of the U.S. Air Force Base security police guards manning the gate at the West German U.S. Air Force base carries a Colt Python, which he draws on Bond when he attempts to enter with the German Police hot on his tail after stealing the car he is in. Because of the many civilians milling around, the guard is forced to fire his six shots into the air, to alert his comrades to the security threat.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Octopussy (Maud Adams) takes a Smith & Wesson Model 36 from one of the U.S. Air Force base security police guards at the circus and uses it to blow the lock off the base of the circus cannon, revealing the atomic bomb inside.
Shotguns
Gobinda's Side by Side Shotgun
As he pursues Bond through the streets of Rajasthan, India, Gobinda (Kabir Bedi) is armed with a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun with a huge fluted muzzle resembling a blunderbuss.
Assault Rifles
FN FAL
Dressed as Toro, Bond (Roger Moore) passes some South American soldiers carrying FN FAL rifles in the opening scenes. Guards at the Brittish Embassy in West Berlin and a few of Kamal Khan's guards in India also carry these.
ArmaLite Rifle 18
Some of the South American soldiers can be seen with AR-18 rifles in the opening sequence.
MGC M-16
South American soldiers mostly wield Japanese MGC M-16 replica rifles with 20 round magazines. The soldiers guarding James Bond (Roger Moore) after his capture are armed with these M16s, after Bond pulls their parachute ripcords, he commandeers one of the soldiers' rifles (which becomes a blank-firing M16A1 at that moment).
M16A1
After pulling the soldiers parachute ripcords, sending them up into the air, Bond (Roger Moore) commandeers one of their rifles, now an actual blank-firing M16A1, and uses it to shoot out the truck's left front tire, causing it to crash. Another actual M16A1 rifle appears later on in the hands of a soldier as his comrades are firing a missile at Bond's BD-5J.
Type 56
Soviet soldiers accompanying General Orlov (Steven Berkoff) to India are armed with Type 56 assault rifles. Border guards and soldiers in East Germany are seen with these as well.
Armi-Jager AP-80
Carried by most of the soldiers in East Germany is the AP-80 .22 caliber rifle made by Armi-Jager of Italy.
Steyr AUG
Oddly, carbine versions of the Steyr AUGs are used by a few Soviet soldiers in the movie. This is likely the earliest appearance of the Steyr AUG in a Hollywood film.
AKM
Soviet soldiers are also seen with some genuine AKM rifles.
Sa vz. 58 p
Some soldiers are seen with Sa vz. 58 p rifles.
AKS
One soldier is seen what appears to be an AKS in a sling on his shoulder as they inspect the recovered car. During the final fight at Kamal's palace one of his guards can also be seen with one as they're trying to kill Bond who is pursuing the Afghan prince.
Sa vz. 58 v
When General Gogol (Walter Gotell) asks one of the soldiers for Orlov's whereabouts another soldier is seen with an Sa vz. 58 v in the background. Kamal Khan's guard is also seen with one, using it to shoot at Bond (Roger Moore) who kills him, takes the gun, and uses it (most notably while sliding down the banister).
Rifles & Carbines
SKS
Soviet guards at the art depositry and some of Kamal Khan's guards can be seen with SKS rifles.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
Most of Kamal Khan's guards use Lee-Enfield No.4 MkI rifles.
Weatherby Mk.V
Kamal Khan (Louis Jourdan) carries a Weatherby Mark V as his men search for Bond.
Machine Guns
FN MAG
After overwhelming and escaping his captors Bond, driving his DB-5J, is chased by some soldiers in Dodge M37 Jeeps. One of the vehicles is seen with an FN MAG mounted in the back. Another MAG is seen by a soldier in another vehicle outside the hangar before it blows up.
M60
Due to a continuity error, an M60 machine gun is seen mounted in the back of one of the M37s after the they have ended up in the ditch and is used by the soldiers to fire at Bond's plane.
Other Weapons
BSA Scorpion spring powered air pistol
Octopussy (Maud Adams) and her team use specialized air pistols (BSA Scorpion) loaded with tranquilizers to fight off Kamal's men.
