In season eight, Morgan's people enter the mysterious PADRE settlement after leaving the Texas coast on rafts at the end of the previous season. However, the mythical sanctuary turns out to be not so safe, forcing Morgan and Madison into a new struggle. The season is directed by Michael Satrazemis, Heather Cappiello and others, consists of twelve episodes and was premiered on May 14, 2023 on AMC.

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

Madison (Kim Dickens) grabs the Beretta 92FS from a PADRE guard during a confrontation at the beginning of "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01). Later, Morgan (Lennie James) threatens Madison with another gun, and Mo (Zoey Merchant) takes it from a bag while on the houseboat. The PADRE guard holds the pistol upon arriving at the train car lab as reinforcement at the end of "Blue Jay" (S8E02). The pistol is briefly seen in the hands of one of the PADRE guards during the train shootout at the beginning of "Odessa" (S8E03). Second-in-command of the parents' resistance, Diane (Jennifer Christa Palmer), is armed with the gun, and Sam (Maya Eshet) and Ben Krennick (Daniel Rashid) take another Beretta from a container at the PADRE shipyard. Diane fires her Beretta during a confrontation with PADRE's men in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). Marietta (Be Satrazemis), Hildy (Frank Hildebrand) and Alex (Emily Brinks) hold Berettas during the battle with Troy's group in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10). June (Jenna Elfman) starts using the 92FS instead of her CZ 75 in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10) and "The Road Ahead" (S8E12). At least one of PADRE exiles also fires the Beretta during an ambush on his transport in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11). Due to a continuity error, Madison carries the pistol instead of the P226 in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11) and "The Road Ahead" (S8E12). Tracy Otto (Antonella Rose) takes her gun in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12), but at the end of the episode, Victor (Colman Domingo) takes it away.

Due to a continuity error in some scenes in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01), Madison (Kim Dickens) and Morgan (Lennie James) use a Beretta M9A1 instead of the 92FS. Madison also briefly holds the pistol due to a continuity error at the beginning of "Fighting Like You" (S8E11).

Beretta M9A1 - 9x19mm Parabellum

When Madison points the Beretta at Morgan in the theme park in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01) it turns into the M9A1.

Morgan snatches the gun from Mo.

Madison (Kim Dickens) is briefly seen with the pistol at the beginning of "Fighting Like You" (S8E11). Even though the rail itself is barely visible in motion, the model can be identified by the thickened trigger guard and two-stage pistol frame.

Browning Hi-Power

Troy's right-hand man named Russell (Randy Bernales) is armed with a chrome Browning Hi-Power looking for Madison in "Anton" (S8E07). Madison (Kim Dickens) also snatches his pistol from him hiding in the library. In "Iron Tiger" (S8E08) Russel gets his gun back, briefly holding it after the fuel truck explodes. He holds the Browning confronting the New PADRE army at the end of "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10).

Colt M1911A1

Victor's new ally named Frank (Isha Blaaker) carries what appears to be a holstered Colt M1911A1 pistol in "Anton" (S8E07), but gives it up at Russell's (Randy Bernales) request. The leader of the hostile gang, Marty, (Alex Morf) uses the Colt during "Sanctuary" (S8E09). Frank also uses the pistol during the battle for PADRE in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Colt M1911A1 - .45 ACP

Frank gives the holster with the pistol to Russell in "Anton" (S8E07).

Marty fires the pistol during the first encounter with Dwight's group at the beginning of "Sanctuary" (S8E09).

Marty (Alex Morf) returns to the Sanctuary with his group.

Frank's gun is briefly visible on the right during the battle for PADRE in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

CZ 75B

June Dorie (Jenna Elfman) carries a stainless CZ 75B as her primary sidearm during the season. The first time she uses the gun when Adrian comes to her cabin in "Blue Jay" (S8E02). She later shoots walkers on the train car trying to save Dwight and Sherry. June's gun is briefly seen in a holster in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05). She snatches the pistol threatening Crane at the end of "All I See Is Red" (S8E06) in the train car. June is also seen with the CZ 75 at the end of "Anton" (S8E07), breaking into the Emissary Suites hotel.

Stainless CZ 75B - 9x19mm Parabellum

June (Jenna Elfman) pulls out the pistol at the beginning of "Blue Jay" (S8E02) when an unknown survivor appears on the door of her cabin.

During a fight with walkers in a train car, she loses her gun.

June shoots walkers with her CZ 75B.

She keeps Crane at the gunpoint in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06).

June (Jenna Elfman) aims her pistol at Troy and his men in "Anton" (S8E07).

Glock 17

Grace Mukherjee (Karen David) fires a Glock 17 at walkers saving Mo, Morgan and Madison on the houseboat in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01). June (Jenna Elfman) takes the gun from one of the PADRE guards at the beginning of "Blue Jay" (S8E02) and throws it into her cache in the floor of her hut. Lieutenant Goddard (Omer Aziz Mughal) carries the Glock in a holster in a flashback in "Odessa" (S8E03). Later, PADRE Prefect named Hawk (Triston Dye) is also armed with the pistol during a confrontation with Daniel's group. PADRE guard Kingfisher (uncredited) points The Glock at Grace when she forces the truck to stop in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05). Dwight (Austin Amelio) then attacks him, taking the gun away and using it later to fire back at the Prefects. Hawk also uses the Glock during the battle with Daniel's rebellion in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). Sherry (Christine Evangelista) starts using the Glock after liberating PADRE, starting in "Anton" (S8E07). Luciana (Danay Garcia) uses the pistol in the second half of the season, first seen in "Iron Tiger" (S8E08) saving Madison from a walker at a gas station. Both Dwight and Sherry use their Glocks in "Sanctuary" (S8E09), traveling back to Virginia. The Emissary Suites council member Marietta (Be Satrazemis, wife of producer and director Michael Satrazemis) also carries the holstered pistol at the end of the episode. Marietta, Luciana, Dwight, Sherry, and several unnamed New-PADRE residents (including Wesley Barnes) use pistols in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10). Both Luciana and Sherry carry guns in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11) and "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Glock 17 (3rd Gen) - 9x19mm Parabellum

Grace (Karen David) arrives on a boat and shoots the walkers in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01).

Prefect Hawk (Triston Dye) aims the pistol at Daniel's group in "Odessa" (S8E03).

PADRE guard Kingfisher aims the pistol at Grace in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05).

Dwight fires his gun at the Prefects chasing him.

Hawk puts the pistol to the head of one of the fighters in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06), but hesitates to shoot.

Sherry in the background aims the Glock at the end of "Anton" (S8E07).

Glock 19

June (Jenna Elfman) snatches the Glock 19 from Sam Krennick / "Shrike" (Maya Eshet) at the beginning of "Odessa" (S8E03) and shoots PADRE guards. Diane (Jennifer Christa Palmer) confiscates it when the rebellion meets her, Madison and the others, but then gives it back. Arriving at PADRE Shrike returns the gun but is ambushed by rebels and one of them (Casey Hendershot) takes the gun. The PADRE guard (Brittany Altenbach) carries the holstered gun while chasing Morgan in "King County" (S8E04). Shrike continues to carry her gun in a leg holster in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05) and also uses it during "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). Hawk (Triston Dye) is armed with the Glock 19 in "Iron Tiger" (S8E08) first looking for gas at a gas station and then invading the Emissary Suites hotel and later in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Glock 19 (3rd Gen) - 9x19mm Parabellum

June snatches the gun from Shrike in "Odessa" (S8E03).

She holds the Glock after the shooting with guards.

A gun is seen in the holster of the PADRE guard (Brittany Altenbach) during the confrontation with Morgan in "King County" (S8E04).

Shrike's gun is seen at the end of "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05).

Sam Krennick / "Shrike" (Maya Eshet) points the gun at Morgan after catching him in the swamps in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06).

When she spots the walker in the water, the shorter slide and frame are clearly seen.

While in custody in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01), Madison (Kim Dickens) snatches a Heckler & Koch USP from one of the PADRE guards planning to kill herself, but it turns out to be unloaded. The other guard (Alex Hill) also uses the gun during the escape from the PADRE. Due to a continuity error, Major General Krennick (Michael B. Silver) carries what appears to be an USP in a holster in a flashback in "Odessa" (S8E03). Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) snatches the pistol from one of Troy's men after being captured at the end of "Iron Tiger" (S8E08). Former exiled PADRE leader Ben Krennick / "Crane" (Daniel Rashid) is armed with the USP in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11).

Heckler & Koch USP - .45 ACP

Madison shoots her mouth off with a stolen gun in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01), but it turns out to be empty.

Mo attacks another guard with USP helping Madison escape.

In "Odessa" (S8E03), when Major General Krennick leaves, his gun is visible in the holster.

Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) aims the USP at a raider from Troy's group in "Iron Tiger" (S8E08).

The dropped pistol is seen later.

Ben Krennick (Daniel Rashid) fires the USP in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11).

Kimber Warrior

Major General Krennick (Michael B. Silver) fires what appears to be a Kimber Warrior at the PADRE shipyard in a flashback in "Odessa" (S8E03). Victor (Colman Domingo) finds the Kimber with black G10 grips in the glove compartment of the car in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10) and later threatens Daniel (Rubén Blades), but he easily snatches the gun and throws Victor out of the car.

Kimber Warrior with Black Grips - .45 ACP

Major General Krennick (Michael B. Silver) fires the pistol at walkers in "Odessa" (S8E03).

Victor (Colman Domingo) shows the gun he found to Madison in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10).

He points the Kimber at Daniel forcing him to leave.

Orion Flare Gun

PADRE guard Oriole (uncredited) fires a Orion Flare Gun into the sky in "King County" (S8E04). Hawk (Triston Dye) and the other PADRE Prefect use it to mark the whereabouts of the fugitives in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05). Morgan (Lennie James) also holds the pistol on the houseboat in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06).

Orion Flare Gun - 12 gauge

Oriole signals after finding Morgan and Grace in "King County" (S8E04).

Rock Island Armory M1911A1 (Custom)

In Season 8, Daniel Salazar (Rubén Blades) uses an engraved nickel Rock Island Armory M1911A1 with a scorpion-pattern grip as his primary sidearm. The pistol is first seen in the holster when he meets Madison and her allies in "Odessa" (S8E03). Daniel uses his pistol during a firefight with PADRE's men in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06), Outnumbered, he is captured and then the gun is used by Ben Krennick / "Crane" (Daniel Rashid). Daniel holds his RIA 1911 while breaking into the Emissary Suites hotel saving Victor and his people in "Anton" (S8E07). In "Iron Tiger" (S8E08) the pistol is seen in the holster. He uses the gun while searching for Tracy in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10). Daniel fires the 1911 in "Fighting Like You" (S8E11) ambushing a transport of PADRE exiles and later in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Another guard and PADRE Prefect Odessa "Dove" Sanderson (Jayla Walton) are armed with pistols during the shootout in the train car at the beginning of "Odessa" (S8E03). At the end of the episode, a member of Daniel's resistance (Casey Hendershot) confiscates Dove's pistol. Odessa briefly fires her gun during a confrontation with Daniel's men in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). The resident of New PADRE (Theo Kypri) carries the holstered P226 at the beginning of "Iron Tiger" (S8E08). At least one member of Marty's gang (Kirk Riley) is armed with the P226R chasing Dwight and Sherry in "Sanctuary" (S8E09). One of the raiders from Marty's group named Phil (T. Ryan Mooney) points what appears to be a Ruger at Dwight after catching him in the Sanctuary at the beginning of "Sanctuary" (S8E09).

Single Action Army

During the battle for PADRE in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12), Odessa Sanderson / "Dove" (Jayla Walton) brings a box of items from which June (Jenna Elfman) gets her paired custom nickel-plated Cimarron-made Single Action Army revolvers with the initials "JD" engraved on grips to fight the undead army. She also gives one gun to Dove which she carries later.

Smith & Wesson Model 19

Adrian (Jonathan Medina), a member of the parental resistance movement, is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 19 in "Blue Jay" (S8E02). In the train car, Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) both take possession of the revolver. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), who takes the alias Anton, uses the revolver as his primary sidearm in "Anton" (S8E07) and "Iron Tiger" (S8E08). Victor and Frank (Isha Blaaker) both use revolvers in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10) during the battle with Troy's men.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 - .357 Magnum

Adrian (Jonathan Medina) points his Model 19 at Dwight in "Blue Jay" (S8E02).

Dwight snatches the revolver and threatens Adrian.

Then he gives the revolver to Sherry so she can control Adrian.

Victor (Colman Domingo) aims the revolver at the Gearheads at the beginning of "Iron Tiger" (S8E08).

Frank (Isha Blaaker) comes out with the revolver in hand before fighting Troy in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10).

One of the PADRE guards is armed with a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with Surefire 628 weaponlight at the end of "Blue Jay" (S8E02). One of the members (Mallorie Stout) of the parents' resistance is armed with the MP5A3 upon meeting Madison's group in "Odessa" (S8E03). PADRE guard Oriole (uncredited) is armed with the MP5 with Surefire 628 weaponlight and Navy trigger group chasing Morgan in "King County" (S8E04). At the end of the episode, Sherry (Christine Evangelista) and Dwight (Austin Amelio) take the gun away from him. At least one member of Daniel's rebellion and two PADRE Prefects (including Wesley Barnes) are armed with MP5s during the confrontation in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). Former PADRE Prefect (Leanna Totten) is briefly seen with the submachine gun arriving with June, Daniel and others at the Emissary Suites hotel at the end of "Anton" (S8E07). A soldier named Winthrop (uncredited) is briefly seen with what appears to be a Colt XM177E2 at the PADRE shipyard in a flashback in "Odessa" (S8E03). One of the PADRE guards holds the carbine escorting Crane and Shrike in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06). Former Daniel's resistance member (Mallorie Stout) is briefly seen with the carbine arriving with June, Daniel and others at the Emissary Suites hotel at the end of "Anton" (S8E07).

Colt XM177E2 - 5.56x45mm NATO

Custom AKMSU-style Carbine

Daniel Salazar (Rubén Blades) uses a custom AKMSU-style carbine as his primary weapon during the season. He carries it on the sling in "Odessa" (S8E03) and "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05). He carries it in "All I See Is Red" (S8E06) until one of the PADRE Prefects named Alex / "Robin" (Emily Brinks) confiscates it. Daniel gets his AK back and carries it again in "Anton" (S8E07). Member of Daniel's group (Sophie Danielle Winchester) is also armed with what appears to be the same carbine coming as part of the reinforcement at the end of the episode. Daniel continues to carry the carbine in "Iron Tiger" (S8E08), "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10), "Fighting Like You" (S8E11) and "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Converted AKM carbine - 7.62x39mm

At the left, Daniel (Rubén Blades) holds the carbine talking with Madison in "Odessa" (S8E03).

He aims the AKMSU at PADRE prefects later in the episode.

Remington 700

Returning to his old house in "King County" (S8E04), Morgan (Lennie James) finds a scoped Remington 700 BDL rifle same as he used in Season 1 of the original show and uses it to shoot walkers. PADRE guard Oriole (uncredited) takes the rifle from Morgan in an attempt to execute him, but fails to do so. At the end of the episode, Morgan fires the rifle again at PADRE reinforcements. Despite the fact that the scene claims this is the same rifle as in the first days of the apocalypse, it is actually a different one, which can be proved by the fluted bolt and a slightly different stock with grooves. One of Troy's raiders (uncredited) is also armed with what appears to be a Remington 700 in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10). After the massive gunfight Dwight (Austin Amelio) takes his rifle.

Browning M2HBs commonly appear in use by PADRE guards. In "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01), one machine gun is seen on the walls of PADRE, and several more are mounted on the guard's boats at the end of the episode. The machine gun is seen mounted on one of PADRE's patrol boats in a flashback in "Odessa" (S8E03). Another Browning is seen mounted on PADRE's Humvee at the PADRE shipyard in "More Time Than You Know" (S8E05). Machine guns are also seen on the walls of the PADRE in "The Road Ahead" (S8E12).

Browning M2HB - .50 BMG

A PADRE guard (Will Perez) guards the settlement with the mounted machine gun in "Remember What They Took From You" (S8E01).

The other machine gun on the boat is seen at the end of the episode.

The Browning is seen when Ben locks up Sam in "Odessa" (S8E03).

The famous Althea's BAE Systems Caiman with two top-mounted M249 SAW Para machine guns returns in the final season, but this time in the possession of members of Alicia's group who save Victor from the walkers in "Keeping Her Alive" (S8E10). In "Fighting Like You" (S8E11) machine guns are used to destroy part of Troy's horde.

Attacking PADRE's people on the mainland, June collects weapons and stashes them in a cache in the floor of her hut in "Blue Jay" (S8E02).

When June throws the Glock 17 and SIG-Sauer P226R from the last attack, many guns, namely another Glock and P226R, a Beretta 92FS, two Heckler & Koch USPs, an M16A4, three M4A1 with scopes, a Heckler & Koch MP5A2 and MP5A3 both with Surefire 628 weaponlight, can be seen in the crate.
