When taken by Keye’s men, Harrigan’s Desert Eagle is briefly confiscated until he retrieves it back to resume pursuing the Predator at the slaughterhouse. After fighting with the Predator on the rooftop, Harrigan loses his Desert Eagle when it falls out of his shoulder holster when beginning to climb down on drain pipes. |

Attached to the pistol is an early LASERAIM sight. All of the pistols in the film needed a little modification to attach these aiming sights since the film was made before pistols regularly were designed with frames including under barrel rails; the lasers mounted on both Cantrell's and Lambert's SIG pistols visibly tilt upwards relative to the bore axis. |

− | This 18th century pistol with a characteristically Iberian form of flintlock ignition was presented to Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) by the Elder Predator at the end of the film. The movie prop was an off-the-shelf commercially available non-firing replica from the Spanish manufacturer Denix, made in cast pot metal and hardwood. The external miquelet mainspring and full-cock sear are purely decorative, as the replica uses the same internal dry-fire mechanism as the other Denix models. It was reportedly customized for the movie by Keystone Arsenal Replicas. Modifications appear limited to the removal of the original die-cast sideplate and fabrication of the over-sized engraved sheet-metal replacement. | + | This 18th century pistol with a characteristically Iberian form of flintlock ignition was presented to Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) by the Elder Predator at the end of the film. Predator 2 is the 1990 sequel to 1987's Predator. Set in the then-future year of 1997, the sequel features a different "Predator" coming to Earth and descending upon a Los Angeles besieged by rival drug gangs in order to hunt for human trophies, one of which could be LAPD Detective Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover). The film was directed by Stephen Hopkins and the cast included Gary Busey, Rubén Blades, Bill Paxton, as well as Kevin Peter Hall, who returns from the first film to portray another Predator.
The following weapons were used in the film Predator 2:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Pistols
Magnum Research Inc. Mark VII Desert Eagle
LAPD Detective Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) carries a brushed chrome .357 Magnum chambered Desert Eagle Mark VII fitted on the integral scope mount with a similarly chrome laser sight as his sidearm. The attachment of lasers and weaponlights to pistols was not a commonplace occurrence for law enforcement at the time of the film's production, however many of the sidearms in the film feature such accessories - This was likely done in order to give the weapons more of a 'futuristic' aesthetic for the film's then-future setting (this has proven to be accurate, as the use of such attachments on police sidearms has since been more widely adopted).
SIG-Sauer P226
Detective Leona Cantrell (Maria Conchita Alonso) uses a SIG-Sauer P226 as her weapon of choice.
SIG-Sauer P226 (Nickel)
Det. Jerry Lambert (Bill Paxton) carries a nickel-plated SIG-Sauer P226 equipped with a LASERAIM sight. In contrast to Cantrell's SIG, which is black with a silver laser sight, Lambert's pistol is nickel and fitted with a black laser sight. He most notably uses his SIG aboard the subway train to confront the Predator.
Smith & Wesson 4506
Det. Danny Archuleta (Rubén Blades) carries a Smith & Wesson 4506 fitted with a weaponlight as his sidearm.
Colt Commander
A pair of Colt Commanders are seen in Harrigan's trunk cache, one with a satin stainless finish and fitted with a first series of production Laser Products 310R tactical light (first type ever produced), the other one with a blued finish and unmodified.
SIG-Sauer P225
A nickel SIG-Sauer P225 is seen in Harrigan's trunk.
AMT Hardballer Longslide
An AMT Hardballer Longslide is among the weapons in Harrigan's truck cache.
Miquelet Lock Pistol
This 18th century pistol with a characteristically Iberian form of flintlock ignition was presented to Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) by the Elder Predator at the end of the film. The backstory of this pistol was explained in the 2022 Hulu film Prey.
Revolvers
Dan Wesson Model 15-VH
One of the gang members on the subway can be seen pulling a Dan Wesson Revolver Model 15-VH on a train commuter.
Smith & Wesson Model 66 (Snub)
A 2.5" barrel Smith & Wesson Model 66 is one of the handguns Harrigan available for selection seen in his trunk cache. It also appears to be the revolver pulled by a subway rider who is threatened by some thugs.
Smith & Wesson Model 66 (Gold-plated)
"Gold Tooth" (Michael Mark Edmondson), the leader of the Jamaican gangsters during the voodoo-murder, is armed with a pair of what appear to be gold-plated Smith & Wesson Model 66 revolvers with white (probably Ivory) grips.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Several other subway passengers pull their Smith & Wesson Model 60 revolvers at the thugs.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch HK94A2 (chopped and converted)
A police officer can be seen firing a chopped and converted Heckler & Koch HK94A2 in a news clip in the beginning of the movie. Other officers are also seen with the HK94A2.
Heckler & Koch HK94A3 (chopped and converted)
Several LAPD officers can be seen with chopped and converted Heckler & Koch HK94A3s in the opening shootout.
IMI Micro Uzi
"El Scorpio" (Veteran stuntman and occasional actor Henry Kingi) is seen using two Micro Uzi's during the opening scene before being forced to flee. These customized two-tone Uzi's are the same ones used in the films The Running Man, Total Recall and Class of 1999.
IMI Uzi
A full size IMI Uzi is among the weapons glimpsed in El Scorpio's armory.
Franchi LF-57
Jamaican gangsters use Franchi LF-57 SMG's.
Rifles / Carbines
Colt CAR-15 variant
Near the ending of the film, Harrigan (Danny Glover) uses a CAR-15 variant with an underslung M203 grenade launcher when he confronts the Predator. Since the receiver is never seen clearly it remains unidentified. Some LAPD officers earlier in the movie are also seen with CAR-15 XM-177E2-style carbines, which are likely mocked up from Colt Sporter I Carbines.
Steyr AUG A1
The Steyr AUG A1 is used by various Colombian gang members during the shootout at the beginning of the film. Some LAPD officers are also seen holding these weapons outside of the Metro station.
Heckler & Koch HK91A2
Several Heckler & Koch HK91A2s are used by LAPD officers, as well as by the Colombian gang during the shootout at the beginning of the film. The LAPD HK91A2s feature all black furniture with wide or 'tropical' forearms and Imatronic LS45 laser sights attached to them. The gang members have HK91A2s with olive drab furniture and 'slimline' forearms. The HK91 was made for the American Civilian market and can be distinguished from it's originator, the Heckler & Koch G3, by the former's lack of a "paddle" magazine release - The HK91 features a button magazine release. All appear to have been converted to fully automatic.
M16A1
When Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) goes to the metro station to find Jerry Lambert (Bill Paxton), a police officer wearing a PASGT helmet can be seen holding an M16A1. Various M16A1s can be seen when the Colombians pick up weapons at the beginning of the film.
MGC M-16 Model Gun Corp Replica Rifle
An MGC M16 replica is briefly seen during the armory scene.
Ruger AC556K
The short barreled version of the AC556, the Ruger AC556K is used by the Jamaican gangsters.
Ruger Mini-14 in Muzzelite™ MZ14 Bullpup Stock
One of government agents under the command of Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) carries two Muzzelite MZ14 Bullpup rifles during the attempt to hunt down the Predator in the abattoir.
M1 Carbine
A number of M1 Carbines were seen on a circular gun rack at the Colombian gang's armory while the Colombians were re-arming with heavier weapons.
Norinco Type 56
Among the many guns (and missiles) seen in the Colombians' stash, at least three Norinco Type 56 are seen in a weapons crate.
Shotguns
Benelli M1 Super 90 "Entry"
In addition to his Desert Eagle, Harrigan (Danny Glover) uses a Benelli M1 Super 90 "Entry" semi-auto shotgun with a shortened barrel, short magazine tube, removed forearm, pistol grip with the stock cut down, and laser sight mounted on top. This kind of shotgun (modified in such a unique way) acts in a way as a high-powered pistol, as when Harrigan looks in his car’s trunk for a compact weapon to deliver high velocity, he disregards the pistols in his bag. Harrigan uses the shotgun while engaging gangsters during the opening shootout. Harrigan also is seen with the shotgun holstered on his thigh when he gears up to face the Predator in the meat packing plant. After expelling ten rounds onto the Predator, the shotgun is grabbed out of Harrigan’s hand and destroyed by the Predator smashing it on the ground.
The shotgun had previously been the main weapon carried by the title character in the short-lived 1980's Sam Jones-starring television series The Highwayman.
Franchi SPAS-15
An LAPD sergeant (Steve Kahan) is armed with a Franchi SPAS-15 with a laser sight attached to it (which seems rather unnecessary for a shotgun unless it is using slugs) in the beginning of the movie.
Mossberg 500 Bullpup
In the opening shootout and throughout the film, several LAPD officers can be seen with Mossberg 500 Bullpups. It's also briefly glimpsed in Harrigan's trunk as he loads up before confronting the Predator. Garber (Adam Baldwin) also is seen carrying one as he confronts Harrigan at the end of the film.
Heavy Weapons
Barrett M82A1
At the start of the movie, one of the Colombian gangsters picks up an early model Barrett M82A1 from their weapons cache. The gangster with the Barrett M82A1 is Thomas Rosales Jr., a Hispanic professional stuntman who routinely plays unnamed thugs in motion pictures.
Iver Johnson AMAC-1500
One of the Colombians is seen taking up a Iver Johnson AMAC-1500 in El Scorpio's armory. Perhaps not the best choice for a standoff with police, as to reload the bolt needs to be completely removed and a single round loaded to fire. The entire scene is also edited together in the wrong order. First the Colombian attaches a round to the bolt (first screenshot), then he all of a sudden removes the bolt (second).
M60 Machine Gun
Two Colombians pick up two M60 machine guns when they are in their weapons cache. One member of the special team headed up by Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) uses one with the bipod and the sights removed (this was similar to the way the M60 was used by US Navy SEALs in Vietnam).
M60D Machine Gun
A M60D Machine Gun is seen among the Colombians' weapon stash.
Defense Technologies 1315 37mm
Colombian gang leader 'El Scorpio' (Henry Kingi) uses a two tone Def Tech 1315 37mm launcher, made to act like an HE launcher. Its used to kill or injure two LAPD officers and destroy a Police car.
Browning AN/M2 Aircraft
A .50 caliber Browning M2 Aircraft is seen among the weapons stache in the Colombian hideout when the Detectives investigate the aftermath.
Browning M2HB
Among the weapons glimpsed in El Scorpio's armory is a Browning M2HB Machine gun.
M47 Dragon
Among the weapons glimpsed in El Scorpio's armory is an M47 Dragon launcher.
Double Barreled Firearm (fictional)
A custom double barreled firearm is carried by one of Peter Keyes' men. This gun, based on it's apparence, is most likely not a real life firearm but a custom made weapon for Hollywood effect only.
El Scorpio's Armory
During the opening shootout, El Scorpio and his gang are seen retreating into their warehouse, which contains a massive amount of heavy weaponry.
