Fallout is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series developed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan for Amazon Prime. It is based on the video game franchise with the same name (and more specifically Fallout 4) created by Bethesda Softworks.

The story follows the lives of three survivors more than 200 years after a horrific nuclear disaster. While Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), having lived her whole life inside a huge underground bunker, is about to come to the surface for the first time, the once pre-War famous actor Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins), who became a Ghoul after being severely exposed to radiation, makes a living as a bounty hunter. The third main character is Maximus (Aaron Moten), a recruit of the large post-apocalyptic army known as the Brotherhood of Steel. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 10, 2024.

The first season was created by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. The story is set in 2296, 219 years after the Great War of 2077 destroyed civilization in a storm of nuclear fire. While Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), having lived her whole life inside a huge underground bunker, emerges on the surface for the first time to search for her missing father, the once famous pre-War actor Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins), who became a "Ghoul" after being severely exposed to radiation, makes a living as a bounty hunter. Meanwhile, Maximus (Aaron Moten), a recruit of the large post-apocalyptic army known as the Brotherhood of Steel, is given a mission to retrieve an important piece of powerful pre-War technology, which may be an opportunity to earn the glory and respect his seeks. These three disparate survivors are unknowingly set on a collision course with each other, as a series of seemingly unrelated events turn out to be bigger than all of them, with the potential to set the wasteland ablaze with war once again. The season consists of eight episodes and was premiered on April 10, 2024 on Amazon Prime.

"10mm Pistol" (Fallout 1/2)
A live-action recreated replica of the "Colt 6520" (also known as the "10mm Pistol") from Fallout and Fallout 2 appears as the service weapon of the Squires of the Brotherhood of Steel during the season. After being promoted, Maximus (Aaron Moten) starts carrying the gun in "The Target" (S1E02) and later saves his Knight by firing at Yao guai. In Episode 7, Thaddeus (Johnny Pemberton) fires the gun 15 times without reloading, while the in-game version's capacity is only 12 rounds. On-screen, the gun is depicted as a revolver, with its cylinder visibly rotating before each shot.

Being assigned as the new Squire of Knight Titus in "The Head" (S1E03), Thaddeus (Johnny Pemberton) begins carrying the revolver in a holster. In "The Radio" (S1E07), Thaddeus holds a snake oil salesman (Jon Daly) at gunpoint, getting a strange serum from him and later snatches the Colt, shooting multiple times at the approaching Lucy and Maximus. The Brotherhood Squires including Maximus use pistols during the battle with the NCR in "The Beginning" (S1E08). Lucy (Ella Purnell) also fires the gun at the end of the episode.

The redesigned "10mm Pistol" from Fallout 4 appears, faithfully recreated as a physical prop. While it is mostly a fictional design, some features of it resemble those from the Walther Volkspistole prototype. The pistol first appears in holsters of Enclave soldiers in "The Target" (S1E02), while it later appears in Episode 4 when Lucy (Ella Purnell) acquires one.

Brotherhood of Steel officers carry holstered pistols in the radio room in "The Head" (S1E03). Lucy (Ella Purnell) grabs the pistol while freeing ghouls at Super Duper Mart in "The Ghouls" (S1E04). At the beginning of "The Past" (S1E05), Lucy kills several radroaches with the pistol. When Maximus (Aaron Moten) meets the strangers on the bridge, he snatches the gun from her and kills both of them, before returning it to Lucy. Squire Dane (Xelia Mendes-Jones) and the Brotherhood officers, including Petty Officer Shortsight (Brendan Burke), use pistols during the battle with the NCR in "The Beginning" (S1E08).

During the Raiders' attack in "The End" (S1E01), Lucy (Ella Purnell) takes a fictional dart gun with tranquilizer rounds from Vault 33's armory after finding that the rest of the weapons are gone. Leaving the Vault, Lucy takes the gun with her. In "The Target" (S1E02) Lucy first points the gun at a farmer trying to learn the way, and later shoots The Ghoul during a shootout in Filly. Other dart guns are also visible in emergency glass cases in Vault 4.

Desert Eagle Mark XIX
A modified Desert Eagle Mark XIX first appears in the holster of Maximus' (Aaron Moten) power armor in Episode 2. It features an underbarrel bracket (similar to the one on the "Laser Rifle") and an extended frame, but appears to be a new design as it has not appeared in any of the past games; it has only been added to the spin-off Fallout Shelter via a recent update, where it is named the "T60 Pistol" (with T-60 referring to the power armor model the gun is holstered in). Presumably, this weapon is some model of futuristic firearm, given the visible case ejection and muzzle flash in scenes where it is fired.

Knights of the Brotherhood of Steel, wearing power armor, are armed with modified Desert Eagle Mark XIX fitted with an underbarrel bracket and an extended frame. Maximus (Aaron Moten) fires the pistol during the battle with The Ghoul in Filly in "The Target" (S1E02) and during the encounter with the gulper at Hollywood Boulevard in "The Head" (S1E03). Despite its long absence the gun appears again on Maximus' armor in "The Radio" (S1E07), and in "The Beginning" (S1E08) it is used by some of the Knights of the Brotherhood of Steel.

Ghoul's Revolver (MTs255)
The Ghoul/Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) carries a unique custom revolver as his sidearm. Visually, it bears a strong resemblance to a cut down MTs255 revolving shotgun, with a LeMat-style trigger guard. However, unlike the MTs255, this revolver features a top-break design, with a 4-round cylinder. In some scenes, the Ghoul fires more than 4 rounds from this weapon without reloading. During the shootout at the market, "bullet cam" shots reveal that the revolver fires finned bullets. The Ghoul's bandolier also contains several large-caliber cartridges with varying projectile types, which are most likely for this revolver.
+
Cooper Howard aka "The Ghoul" (Walton Goggins) carries a unique custom revolver as his primary weapon during the season. Visually, it resembles an OTs-62 (cut down MTs255 revolving shotgun) with a LeMat-style trigger guard. Unlike the MTs255, the gun is a top-break rather than a side-loading and has a four-round cylinder. It fires large-caliber finned cartridges, which are carried in his bandolier. Multiple styles of bullet are seen, indicating that that he carries multiple special ammunition types for his revolver. Also, grenade launcher shots are heard during firing, possibly hinting at a special firing mechanism. He first uses the gun in Filly during a shootout in "The Target" (S1E02). He briefly holds the gun in "The Head" (S1E03), meeting Lucy at the lake and then shooting up a Vault-Tec billboard. Cooper fires the revolver at a fellow ghoul named Roger (Neal Huff) at the beginning of "The Ghouls" (S1E04). He uses it briefly at the beginning of "The Radio" (S1E07). During the battle of Griffith Observatory in "The Beginning" (S1E08), Ghoul uses the revolver attacking a group of Brotherhood of Steel soldiers inside the building.

In "The End" (S1E01) a squire of the Brotherhood of Steel Maximus (Aaron Moten) carries his knight's supplies among which is the "Assault Rifle". In the same episode, in Maximus' flashback, the knight is armed with the rifle at the scene of the Shady Sands explosion. In Episode 2, Knight Titus tries fending off an attacking "yao guai" (the name given to mutated black bears) with one of these "Assault" MGs, but this leads to the bear biting off the receiver, ending the gun's shameful existence.

While in the custody of the Sheriffs of "The Govermint" in "The Trap" (S1E06), Ghoul loses his carbine and it is only seen in the hands of Sheriff Troy (Russell Ewing). Later, Sheriff Rex (Christopher Parker) takes the weapon away on orders from President Sorrel Booker. After returning, The Ghoul carries it in a holster but does not use it in either "The Radio" (S1E07) or "The Beginning" (S1E08).

The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the television series Fallout:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Handguns

"10mm Pistol" (Fallout 1/2)

A live-action recreated replica of the "Colt 6520" (also known as the "10mm Pistol") from Fallout and Fallout 2 appears as the service weapon of the Squires of the Brotherhood of Steel during the season. After being promoted, Maximus (Aaron Moten) starts carrying the gun in "The Target" (S1E02) and later saves his Knight by firing at a yao guai.

In-game render of the pistol for Fallout 4, added post-release.
The holstered pistol is seen at the beginning of "The Target" (S1E02).
Maximus (Aaron Moten) shoots the Yao guai with his gun.
Thaddeus' gun is seen when he and Maximus find the dead body in "The Head" (S1E03).
Thaddeus (Johnny Pemberton) points the Colt 6520 at the snake oil salesman at the clinic in "The Radio" (S1E07).
He shoots at Lucy and Maximus 15 times without reloading, even though the revolver in the game holds only 12 rounds. This large capacity in the game is the result of a miscommunication between writers and designers. According to Chris Taylor, lead designer of Fallout 1, the in-game description that refers to the magazine was written before the artwork with a moving cylinder was created. This unique combination of magazine and cylinder is also similar to the Dardick Revolver.
In the midst of the battle in "The Beginning" (S1E08), Maximus takes cover from gunfire holding his pistol.
Lucy (Ella Purnell) points the "Colt 6520" at The Ghoul.
An abandoned gun lies on the floor. The magazine plate can be seen in this shot, confirming the hybrid mechanism of the weapon.

"10mm Pistol" (Fallout 4)

The redesigned "10mm Pistol" from Fallout 4 appears, faithfully recreated as a physical prop. The pistol first appears in holsters of Enclave soldiers in "The Target" (S1E02).

Colt 1851 Navy

Sheriff Troy (Russell Ewing) and Sheriff Rex (Christopher Parker) both carry a Colt 1851 Navy as sidearms in "The Trap" (S1E06). The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) snatches the revolvers from both of them and fires.

Colt Model 1903

During a flashback in "The Beginning" (S1E08), some pre-War film posters featuring Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) as their lead characters can be seen. One poster depicts him holding a pistol that resembles a Colt Model 1903.

Dart Gun

During the Raiders' attack in "The End" (S1E01), Lucy (Ella Purnell) takes a fictional dart gun with tranquilizer rounds from Vault 33's armory after finding that the rest of the weapons are gone. Leaving the Vault, Lucy takes the gun with her. In "The Target" (S1E02) Lucy first points the gun at a farmer trying to learn the way, and later shoots The Ghoul during a shootout in Filly. Lucy fires the pistol encountering the gulper at the former Hollywood Boulevard (now a large lake) in "The Head" (S1E03). Other dart guns are also visible in emergency glass cases in Vault 4 in "The Trap" (S1E06) and "The Radio" (S1E07).

The only weapon left in the arsenal in "The End" (S1E01) turns out to be a dart pistol.
Lucy leaves the room with the pistol after her disrupted wedding.

Later in Filly she encounters The Ghoul, forcing her to pull out her gun again.
The holstered pistol is seen in "The Head" (S1E03).
She aims the dart gun when the gulper attacks her.
Another gun is seen in "The Radio" (S1E07) in an emergency case in the background.

Desert Eagle Mark XIX

A pistol featuring such a design had not previously appeared in any of the past games, but was later added to Fallout Shelter with an update marking the show's release. Presumably, this weapon is some model of futuristic firearm, given the visible case ejection and muzzle flash in scenes where it is fired.

Another soldier fights with the Desert Eagle in the Griffith Observatory later.

Ghoul's Revolver (MTs255)

A side view of it is also presented during Maximus' intervention.

Catching a group of Knights in a cramped hallway in "The Beginning" (S1E08) Cooper Howard loads a revolver...
... and fires sharply into the weak spot of one of the armor.

Ruger Mk II

A Fiends member named Rink (Mitzi Akaha) grabs a Ruger Mk II with an optic scope going to rob Lucy and Maximus on the bridge in "The Past" (S1E05). After killing both of them, Maximus (Aaron Moten) takes it, but loses it at the Hawthorne Medical Laboratories at the end of the episode.

Single Action Army

Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins), his daughter Janey (Teagan Meredith), and birthday boy Roy Spencer (Mason Cufari) carry toy Single Action Army revolvers in holsters at the beginning of "The End" (S1E01). Cooper also points the revolver at Jorge while filming his next movie in a flashback at the beginning of "The Head" (S1E03).

Unknown Revolver

A Fiends member named Javin (Nicholas Michael McGovern) fires an unknown revolver during an encounter with Lucy and Maximus on the bridge in "The Past" (S1E05). According to a Vault 4 doctor who treats Maximus for a bullet wound in "The Trap" (S1E06), this revolver's user apparently loaded it with human teeth.

Javin (Nicholas Michael McGovern) fires the revolver at Lucy and Maximus.

Submachine Guns
