Note that although the accompanying movie pamphlet specifically notes this handgun as being a standard all-black 92FS, the barrel is clearly stainless steel and although details are hard to make out due to this pistol not being in focus during its scenes, it has a brigadier slide. While its grips are not readily visible at any point, the handgun that Rebecca holds in the official posters is clearly a Samurai Edge, likely one and the same from a [[Resident Evil 0|previous adventure]]. |
+ | Given that in the film's climax and in official posters, Claire is also holding a similar, if not the same model pistol, this may be a filmmaking error. | ||

Resident Evil: Death Island is the 2023 Japanese adult computer-animated action movie set in the Resident Evil universe take place after Resident Evil: Vendetta, Resident Evil 6 and before Resident Evil 7 and the fifth installment and fourth film in the animated Resident Evil series.
The following weapons were used in the anime film Resident Evil: Death Island:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
Rebecca uses a Beretta 92FS during the final fight against Dylan, which she brings with her after infiltrating Alcatraz. Note that although the accompanying movie pamphlet specifically notes this handgun as being a standard all-black 92FS, the barrel is clearly stainless steel and although details are hard to make out due to this pistol not being in focus during its scenes, it has a brigadier slide. While its grips are not readily visible at any point, the handgun that Rebecca holds in the official posters is clearly a Samurai Edge, likely one and the same from a previous adventure.
Given that in the film's climax and in official posters, Claire is also holding a similar, if not the same model pistol, this may be a filmmaking error.
Beretta 92FS "Albert. W. Model 01"
Chris's main weapon is a Beretta 92FS modified by Blue Umbrella based on an Albert Wesker design called the "Albert. W. Model 01" (first featuring in Resident Evil 7). Compared to the game, the pistol here lacks the octagon silencer, rail stabilizer and light module.
Beretta 92FS "Samurai Edge"
The customized Beretta 92FS aka "Samurai Edge" makes a return as Jill's sidearm. She uses it at the beginning of the film and carries it until the outbreak on Alcatraz, losing it (again) shortly thereafter. According to the BIOHAZARD DEATH ISLAND Pamphlet, it was supposed to be Jill's updated Samurai Edge A1, based on the Beretta M9A1. Despite this, the SE in the movie clearly lacks the underbarrel attachment rail.
CZ 75 Shadow 2
The CZ Shadow 2 is used by Claire Redfield as her personal sidearm. The gun is slightly anachronistic by a year, since the film is set in 2015 and the Shadow 2 didn't get released until 2016.
Glock 17
A Glock 17 is seen on Dylan Blake's chest holster, mounted on a plate carrier-type vest. The same was seen with a San Francisco Police Department SWAT officer in a RHIB.
SIG-Sauer P226 Beavertail "Sentinel Nine"
Leon's main weapon, known as the "Sentinel Nine", is a custom SIG-Sauer P226 Beavertail made especially for DSO Members. Leon uses it against Maria during the highway motorcycle chase scene and continues to use it for the remainder of the film.
Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact
The Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact was Leon's spare pistol, which he gave to Jill after she lost her Samurai Edge in the prison fight.
Wing Shooter
Leon's Wing Shooter is seen in the OP sequence when it shows him firing it in a RE6-based scene.
Revolvers
Colt Python
The Colt Python with a stainless steel finish, ivory grips and a 2.5" barrel is seen with Dylan at his Alcatraz hideout.
Submachine Guns
Heckler and Koch MP5A3
Dylan, JJ and other USS operators responding to the 1998 Raccoon City Incident carry the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 as their primary firearm. Armed men in the prologue were seen in a video kidnapping a VIP.
Shotguns
Remington Model 870
During the final battle, Jill opens a weapons case and finds the Remington Model 870 with a picatinny rail on top, short barrel and pistol grip, firing it at Dylan alongside Chris using the M60 machine gun.
AA-12
Leon finds an AA-12 with a drum mag at the armory and uses it during the fight against Dylan. The AA-12 is shown to have a significantly higher fire rate than it's capable of in reality.
Assault Rifles
M4A1 carbine
The M4A1 carbine are seen with SFPD SWAT officers throughout the movie, responding with Chris at the beginning of the movie and helping Rebecca infiltrate Alcatraz near the end. Jill takes a M4A1 from an Alcatraz security officer during the initial outbreak on the island, using it until it runs out of ammo, then as a melee club before discarding it. She finds another M4 in the armory during the final battle with Dylan and uses it to no real effect, discarding it again.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
Chris uses a Humvee-mounted Browning M2HB to distract Dylan's mutated form. Dylan destroys the vehicle seconds later, sending Leon and Chris flying.
M60 machine gun
Chris finds an M60 machine gun in the armory during the final fight, using it against Dylan's mutated form to no real effect.
Grenades
Rheinmetall MK13 Mod 0 BTV-EL flash grenade
Several Rheinmetall MK13 Mod 0 BTV-EL flash grenades are seen on Leon's plate carrier.
Scalable Offensive Hand Grenade
Jill uses a Scalable Offensive Hand Grenade (SOHG) to deal with Dylan's mutated form, trying to prevent him from escaping to international waters.
Rocket Launchers
Carl Gustaf Recoilless Rifle
A large rocket launcher is seen in the OP sequence as blueprints. It's later used by Chris and Leon to take out support structures for a sluice gate. It appears to be a scaled-up Carl Gustaf Recoilless Rifle, with some features from the Saab Bofors Dynamics AT4.
M202 FLASH
Chris finds an M202 FLASH in the Alcatraz armory and uses it against Dylan's mutated form during the final fight, the rockets having no real effect. This is an homage to using the M202 against the Tyrant in the original Resident Evil.
M72 LAW
Rebecca uses an M72 LAW alongside Claire using a SMAW trying to take down Dylan's mutated form. Neither rocket has any real effect on the creature.
Mk 153 SMAW
Claire uses a Mk 153 SMAW alongside Rebecca with an M72 LAW trying to take down Dylan's mutated form. Neither rocket has any real effect on the creature.
Special Weapons
Railgun
Jill uses a fictional rail gun in the movie. Death Island movie brochures identify it as the Plasma Jet.
