The Vexxer is a 2007 German film comedy and the sequel to the 2004 film Der Wixxer which both parody the Edgar Wallace adaptations of the 1950s and 1960s. The subtitle "Still not based on a novel by Edgar Wallace" also testifies to this. Chief Inspector Even Longer and Inspector Very Long are once again investigating together on behalf of Scotland Yard in an already well-known case: he is once again on the loose in London; that terrible supervillain who, in his ghastly costume, has been terrifying the British capital for years. Also this time Longer and his always good-humored partner Long do not give up so easily.

At the end of the film, a sequel Triple WixXx was announced, but it was canceled in 2015.

The following weapons were used in the film The Vexxer:

CZ 70

Unlike the Colt Python revolver in the previous film, Chief Inspector Even Longer (Oliver Kalkofe) wields a CZ 70 throughout the movie. This pistol could be a reference for the CZ 27 used in various Edgar Wallace movies.

CZ vzor 70 - .32 ACP
Even fires several shots from the hip at the Wixxer.
He raises his pistol to fire a warning shot.
After realizing the pistol is empty, he tries to insert a magazine.
A close-up of the left side.
He points the CZ at his brother Much Longer (Christian Tramitz).
A view of the rarely seen left side as Even shows a drawn murder plan for Chucky Norris (Lars Rudolph).
"I don't need this one anymore."
Even looks desperately at his pistol because he does not know where the Wixxer is hiding.

Walther PPK

Inspector Very Long (Bastian Pastewka) remains faithful to his Walther PPK which this time he uses more often.

Very holds his PPK during the chase on the graveyard.
A closer view of the right side, as he enters the house of C.C. Catch (Vojtech Svozil).
He aims at the Wixxer.
Very's Walther lies on the ground.
The Wixxer fires at Inspector Very Long.
The Wixxer catched Very's pistol with his whip in an Indiana Jones-style move.

FN Model 1922

An FN Model 1922 is held by Lord David Dickham (Joachim Fuchsberger) at the film's climax which is most likely a homage to the FN Model 1900 he used in The Devil's Daffodil or its appearance in Face of the Frog, the first German adaptation of the Rialto Film series. Joachim Fuchsberger is one of four actors who have already starred in Edgar Wallace films. The other ones are Ingrid van Bergen, Chris Howland, and Wolfgang Völz.

FN Model 1922 - .380 ACP
"You have an amazing power of observation."
While both angles offer only minor details of the pistol, it is slightly better seen on the movie poster (or on a promotional picture).
The promotional picture of Lord David Dickham (Joachim Fuchsberger) holding the FN Model 1922, which lacks its front sight. The filmmakers had already wanted to hire him for Der Wixxer, but he had indignantly refused when he heard the title. However, after Kalkofe and Pastewka sent him a DVD of the film, he watched it, was thrilled by it, and agreed to a role in the sequel.

FIE Titan

What appears to be an FIE Titan pocket pistol is used by Victoria Dickham (Christiane Paul).

FIE Titan - .25 ACP
Victoria confronts Even and Very with her pistol.
The left side is seen.
Victoria goes to Lucipha (Judy Winter).
She takes aim at Even.
Shortly after, she cocks the hammer.

Walther P38

BND Agent Inge Lenßen (Hella von Sinnen) is seen with a Walther P38.

Inge in disguise holds the P38.

Takedown Sniper Rifle

The Wixxer uses an unknown takedown sniper rifle.

The unassembled sniper rifle lies in the case opened by the Wixxer.
He attached the scope.
The cartiges are seen.
A view of the just inserted magazine.
He charges the rifle, which offers a brief view of the right side.

Karabiner 98k

A Karabiner 98k is seen during Inspector Very Long's flashback of his father's unsolved death.

Karabiner 98k with S84/98 bayonet - 7.92x57mm Mauser
Triggered by chain reaction, the Karabiner begins to fall down. Note the late WWII-style welded barrel band and the missing cleaning rod.
After magically turned around and hitting a table, it fires. Apart from the fact that it has no hooded front sight, it looks very similar to the weapon picture above.

Gun Cabinet

During Long's flashback, a gun cabinet contains several long arms.

A hunting rifle, the Kar98ks, and two double barreld shotguns are seen.
