Belly of the Beast

You recently added a cover pic for the film Belly of the Beast. Do you plan on actually doing this page? It's best to have at least a preliminary page ready before uploading screenshots or cover pics. This way you will not forget what you've uploaded already. Also, you need to provide more descriptions for the weapons used on the pages you've already created such as Policenauts. You need to describe where the weapon was used and by whom. If these pages were not finished yet, then you need to indicate at the top of the page that is still being worked on with a {{workinprogress}} banner. Please refer to the Rules, Standards and Principles page on what is acceptable for the site. --Ben41 18:59, 24 January 2012 (CST)

Call of Duty DS

In the future, please have screenshots and gun images ready to go BEFORE you start a page. Your page for Call of Duty will be deleted, but you can put it up again IF you have more than just descriptions for the game. --Ben41 03:05, 14 May 2012 (CDT)

TDI Vector

Before you upload an image, please crop the image so that it doesn't have a bunch of white space around it. Additionally, images should only be uploaded for gun variants that have been used in media. We do not need an image of ever configuration of the TDI Vector that exists. Only the ones that have been seen in media. --Zackmann08 20:29, 6 June 2012 (CDT)

No worries man. Making mistakes is how I learned the rules around here too. :-) --Zackmann08 21:19, 6 June 2012 (CDT)

Remington XP-100

Are you planning to make a page for the Remington XP-100? If it hasn't appeared in anything, it needs to be removed from the Remington Arms page. --Zackmann08 12:07, 15 June 2012 (CDT)

The Apocalypse Code

You repair what is necessary, it is open to completing. Thanks for everything.--Pandolfini (talk) 10:54, 15 June 2013 (EDT)

If you want anything deleted, you can tag it with {{Nuke}} and we'll review it. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:29, 23 June 2013 (EDT)

There is actually a separate tag for duplicates, {{Duplicate|File}} --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:50, 23 June 2013 (EDT)

Hembrug M95 No.3 Carbine

Hi there, thanks for creating a professional image of the Hembrug M95 No.3 Carbine and add it to the Soldier of Orange page; it is my favourite Dutch movie of all time! Question; what program do you use to create such images? I would love to be able to do this myself if possible. Thanks for letting me know, PeeWee055 (talk) 12:22, 28 June 2013 (EDT)

Hi, thanks for the quick reaction, but I still don’t understand. Basically my problem is that I would like to know how to process a ‘raw’ image (with background etc.) to a ‘clean’ IMFDB-style image with shadow etc. I post an image below, I know it’s two different guns but you get the idea.
Image format IMFDB.jpg

So you say you use Paint, but what steps do you take to get from one style to the other like in my image? Thanks for letting me know, PeeWee055 (talk) 16:11, 28 June 2013 (EDT)

No worries, thanks a lot anyway. Will check with other users, PeeWee055 (talk) 13:16, 29 June 2013 (EDT)
You will need a more advanced photo editing program like Photoshop to go in and erase the background. You have to make a blank white layer underneath the original image and then erase the background. You would need to zoom in pretty close to remove the background closest to the firearm. A free program like Photoshop is one called GIMP, but I haven't really used that one that much. --Ben41 (talk) 19:47, 29 June 2013 (EDT)
Thanks for the tip, will check out GIMP and hopefully I can use it for IMFDB purpose, PeeWee055 (talk) 15:04, 1 July 2013 (EDT)

What is this Revolver ?

Korth Target 22lr.jpg

Please tell me who the name of this Revolver.

Like it's labeled, a Korth Target .22LR. [110186] --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:19, 19 July 2013 (EDT)

I just want to thank you for sorting through the thousands of images on this site and tagging unused and duplicate files. It's a tedious job, and I don't think many people would've volunteered for such a thing. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:44, 5 August 2013 (EDT)

I thank you all the same. As for the deletions, I think it's some sort of server error. People sometimes get an error trying to upload files as well. I don't think there any issue with the file itself, just the name, since it'll go through if you just change the name. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:38, 5 August 2013 (EDT)

I deleted a few today. Rest assured, I'm still on it. Thanks for cleaning them up. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:10, 18 September 2013 (EDT)

I can't edit the body of some files. The following statement was displayed and when I try to edit.

Is this a error? Is there any method to solve? --KINKI'boy 10:40, 9 December 2013 (JST)

Which files? Evil Tim (talk) 21:00, 8 December 2013 (EST)
I think it must be because of how old they are (they're all dated May 2009), they probably have some weird settings from a previous software version or something. If you get any more like that, just message an admin to delete them. Evil Tim (talk) 21:21, 8 December 2013 (EST)

I believe you're our only Japanese regular. Would you be able to translate something for us? I guess just see if there's anything we can put on the 22 Bullets page. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 00:01, 29 January 2014 (EST)

Some films obout Umekawa Akiyoshi

Hello, KINKI'boy. You are Japanese right? I have some question for you. Do you know any film or TV-series about Umekawa Akiyoshi. He used firearm, so this film must contain firearm. Please, tell me on my e-mail: [email protected] If this film or TV-series a present, please, tell me, when I can find it. Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:43, 3 March 2014 (EST)

Thanks! I heard about Aum Shinrikyo, because they have filial in my Country (I'm from Russia). In my country they named Aum Sinrikyo. I know it's a radical, extremist buddhist sect, right. And I have some question: what religion dominated in your country - Buddhism or Shinto. In Russia we have own terrorists - islamic. They a very cruel. I'm neopagans (Rodnover) and can't understand and excuse religious terrorism. But I don't understand, was the Umekawa Akiyoshi a member of Aum Shinrikyo or Japanese Red Army? I thought, that he was usual gangster. About "TATTOO<刺青>あり(There is a tattoo)". This film contains 12 gauge double barrelled shotgun. So, If I find it, may I create article about this film? Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:45, 4 March 2014 (EST)

Howa's military production

You wrote, that Howa produced Mortars. But, Japan hasn't own army since 1945 and doesn't export firearms. So, heavy weapon are useless. Are you sure, that Howa produced mortars? Pyramid Silent (talk) 08:12, 12 April 2014 (EDT)

I know about JSDF, but always I think, that's not army, but civilian organisation. I think, that JSDF doesn't use firearms only martial arts like judo, aikido, karate or jiu-jitsu. And it certainly isn't army. If I'm wrong, tell me about that, please. Pyramid Silent (talk) 09:54, 12 April 2014 (EDT)

Shinto and firearms

Hello KINKI'boy! You are Japanese, right? I know, that major part of Japanese are shintoists. If you are shintoist or if you just know it, tell me, what shinto God (Kami) are patron of the firearms (guns). I want to portray his symbol on my own firearms. I have already draw slavic neopagan symbols on the buttstock, but I want to draw symbols from other polytheistic religions. Thanks. Pyramid Silent (talk) 05:36, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

My articles about Japanese films

Hello KINKI'boy! What do you think about my two articles about Japanese films. Pyramid Silent (talk) 11:56, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

So, what can you say? I don't know much about Japanese police, so you can correct me in this films. Pyramid Silent (talk) 08:46, 24 May 2014 (EDT)
Yes, I know, that this guns were airsoft. But I don't know is Japanese police uses assault rifles, SMG. In my country Russian police uses only Makarov PM. So, I was very surprised, when I saw Japanese police in the Stacy that was armed with an assault rifles. Also, does civial organisation like jsdf uses military firearms like those in the film Zombie Self-Defense Force. Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:33, 24 May 2014 (EDT)
So, I understand, that this is not police, but Special Forces, like American SWAT? And what I should write in the discription: Special Forces or not? I read article in Russian wikipedia, but it doesn't contain answer. Pyramid Silent (talk) 11:04, 24 May 2014 (EDT)

Please help with translation

May I ask you to help with translation of several Japanese words here? I'm trying to understand if the screen gun is a dressed Enfield revolver or it's only inspired with this revolver? Thanks in advance! Greg-Z (talk) 09:59, 13 July 2014 (EDT)

Thanks! So my guess was right. And thanks for link, it's very interesting. Movie props are now such advanced that even spent cartridges are seen, and muzzle flashes are now not pink as they were in 60s-80s but of proper color. By the way, I guess that in Godzilla films some real firearms and vehicles can be seen, like M2 machine guns mounted on tanks. Maybe JSDF provided some help for movie makers, or a footage was skillfully assembled into the film. But Type 64 rifles and other guns are of course flashpaper movie props. Greg-Z (talk) 13:44, 13 July 2014 (EDT)

Japanese firearms

Hello, KINKI'boy! I have some question. You wrote, that you like a few firearms. But it's not japanese firearms. What do you think about some japanese firearms: Howa Type 64, Howa Type 89, Nambu Model 60, Miroku Liberty Chief, Tanegashima. And I found some interesting video:

What do you think about that: is it real firearms or replicas? Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:09, 28 September 2014 (EDT)

Hello, KINKI'boy! This machine gun had never seen in action and this is the only shot, where it appers. But, it's six barreled machine gun, mounted on American Combat Helicopter, so, it's like, thats Minigun. Pyramid Silent (talk) 12:18, 18 March 2016 (EDT)

Don't replace a gun image unless it's the exact same model. You replaced a pistol gripped shotgun with one that has a full stock. --Ben41 (talk) 02:20, 11 October 2017 (EDT)

Maverick 88 image

In the future, if you want to replace the image of a gun that is the same model and configuration, please just use the "Upload a new version of this file" option on the existing image. This way you do not need to go through all of the pages where it is used and manually switch it over, it stops an admin from having to delete the original now unused image, and it means that if there is a problem with the image (such as it is actually a different model) it is easier to revert the change than someone having to go through all of the pages that use the image. --commando552 (talk) 07:27, 27 January 2018 (EST)

Fair enough. If that happens what generally works is if you move the image to a different file name first, as for some reason there are names that the database doesn't like and some of these older images predate that issue and cannot be updated or deleted until the name is changed. --commando552 (talk) 08:27, 27 January 2018 (EST)

Can you help me with this picture

Nails (Gvozdi)

Hello, KINKI'boy! Maby thanks for the help with the Nails (Gvozdi). Also, how do you think, is the all correct now? Pyramid Silent (talk) 12:40, 17 April 2018 (EDT)

Thanks a lot ^_^ ! Also, how do you think, is this gun a real or blank firing gun (other than Colt), or it's a toy? Pyramid Silent (talk) 18:34, 6 September 2018 (EDT)

Some help

Hello, KINKI'boy! Excuse me, I have some request. I know, you are from Japan. How do you think, is the IDs in the The Dagger of Kamui correct? The story mostly tooked place in Japan (late shogunat and Boshin War), with the exeptiom two short moments: Russibm Empire (Lefaucheux) and USA (most of SAA, Lightning, Hawken an Winchester). How do you think, is the page correct now? Pyramid Silent (talk) 18:02, 5 September 2018 (EDT)

In fact, the several guns are anachronistic: for example, scenes in USA (SAA, Winchester, Hawken, Lightning), set before Civil War, scenes in Russian Empire set even more early, and near all events in Japan set a a many years before Boshin War, which depicted only at the film climax. Also, I know, that Tanegashimas is the main firearms of shoguns trops, during the Boshin War, I dont know, but is this gun used by Imperial Japanese Army, or it's depiction in this film is historicaly incorsect? Anywhere, many thanks for the hflp! Pyramid Silent (talk) 18:48, 6 September 2018 (EDT)
Also, how do you think, is the field cannon (that can be seen with the tanegashimas wielding soldiers) can bi IDed? I don't know artillery of the Boshin war, so, I couldn't compare this gun with cannon of those times. Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:09, 9 September 2018 (EDT)
So, the tanegashimas also historicaly incorrect? Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:09, 9 September 2018 (EDT)

Some help with the gun image

Hello, KINKI'boy! Excuse me, I have some request: I know, you are Japanese. May you help to find the image of the well worn Nambu Type 14 pistol: in the move Philosophy of a Knife the Nambu Type 14 is seems to be even assembled of the numerous heavy damaged Nambus (despute the screen gun is obviosly a Late Nambu model, part of the slade was tooked from the Early Nambu model). How do you think, is it possibly to find the image of such damaged guns? Pyramid Silent (talk) 17:20, 19 October 2018 (EDT)

No, it's obviosly a single movie prop (that doesn't fired onscreen). Pyramid Silent (talk) 12:40, 21 October 2018 (EDT)

Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf

Hello, KINKI'boy! Many thanks for the help with Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf. Excuse me, I have some question: after more closer inspection the Karabiner 98k has some strange elements, like groove on the stock, too long cleaning rod and to long front part of the stock and barrel. How do you think, is this some rare variant of Kar 98 or not. The question is solved. Thanks ^_^ Pyramid Silent (talk) 06:23, 28 June 2020 (EDT)

Also, may you help me with some request: the Japanese movies Yakuza Busting Girls: Final Death Ride Battle and Yakuza Hunters 2: The Revenge Duel in Hell has several uncredited characters (like Mirai, Harada etc.), and I hadn't found any non-Japanese sources with actor-characters credites data. You are the only regular, Japanese user. May you help me with ID of the actors of this characters. Thanks ^_^ Pyramid Silent (talk) 20:30, 29 June 2020 (EDT)
Many thanks for correcting a MissID. How do you think, is the all ID correct now? Also, I have some question: the guns at the "Duel in Hell" are obviosly firin onscreen, due the pistol cycling, empty cassing and it's muzzle flash wasn't pink, so, it's not a flashpaper guns. I don't know, what types of such firing props used in Japanese movies. Pyramid Silent (talk) 15:34, 11 July 2020 (EDT)
