Foyle's War - Season 2
Foyle's War is a British detective TV series that takes place during World War II. The main character is Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle (Michael Kitchen) who investigates various crimes that happens in the region of Hastings, Sussex. Four series of the 2nd season take place in September–October 1940.
The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the television series Foyle's War:
Webley Revolvers are seen in hands of various characters. A Webley is the murder weapon in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1). Both Webley .38 Mk IV and Webley .455 Mk VI are used. It's not always possible to determine exactly what model is used.
Colt New Service
An M1911-style pistol is carried by a Secret Service agent John Bishop (Guy Henry) in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1). This pistol seems to have a shorter barrel than a standard M1911, like the Colt Commander, but this could be a mere optical illusion.
M1928 Thompson SMGs with 50-round drum magazine are seen in hands of Home Guard soldiers in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1).
Double Barreled Shotgun
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*
Many British Army and Home Guard soldiers carry Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* rifles. These rifles are seen in most episodes.
M1917 Enfield rifles are seen in hands of Home Guard soldiers in all four episodes. It's a very correct weapon for Home Guard in 1940-41.
A Bren gun is seen in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1).
A Vickers Mk.I is briefly seen in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1).
Hispano Mk II
Two 20-mm Hispano Mk II auto guns are mounted on Spitfire fighter planes in "Among the Few" (S2E2).
Bofors 40mm AA guns are seen in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1) and "Among the Few" (S2E2).
Two small caliber automatic guns are mounted on a German U-boat in "Fifty Ships" (S2E1). They are supposed to stand for German 3.7-cm SK C/30U.
