The SCAR-Heavy, also known as the MK 17, is similar to the SCAR-L with the main difference being that it fires the 7.62mm allowing it to shoot longer distances.

FN SSR
The SSR (Sniper Support Rifle) - also known as "SCAR SSR" or "Mk. 20" - is the latest addition to the SCAR family of rifles. The gun itself is a modified SCAR-H, tailored to fulfill the role of a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle).

FN FNAC
The FNAC (Fabrique Nationale Advanced Carbine) is a new edition to the SCAR family, designed to replace the US Army's M4 carbine as part of the Individual Carbine Program. It weighs 0.3 lbs lighter than the SCAR-L, and lacks the folding front sights on the gas block and the cuts in the upper reciever. It also features both a bayonet lug and a non-reciprocating charging handle.
