Revision as of 13:05, 27 April 2014
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Phantoms (previously known as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online) is an online free-to-play third-person shooter video game. After about two years in Beta, it is finally available for the PC. The Wii U version is on hold.
The weapon customization is similar to the one used in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, although it is not as deep. The following parts can be customized for in-game currency and/or real-life money: sights, stocks, magazines, foregrips, side attachments, flash hiders, barrel lengths, ammo, and weapon finish.
Visit the talk page for info on the weapons removed from the final version.
The following weapons can be seen in the video game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Phantoms:
Handguns
Handguns cannot be customized yet.
Akdal Arms TR-02 "Ghost"
The Akdal Arms TR-02 appears as the "TR-1". It is the tier 1 handgun characterized with it's overall decent stats and plentiful ammunition capacity. An overall, very decent and reliable starter sidearm.
Beretta Px4 Storm
The Beretta Px4 Storm appears as the PX4. It is the tier 5 handgun and is currently the most powerful semi-automatic pistol in the game, albeit having low RoF and average magazine size. The 14-round mag size indicates that it is chambered in .40 S&W.
FN Five-seveN
The FN Five-seveN appears as the "FiveSeven" and has an FDE finish. It is the tier 2 handgun and has the second highest RoF for any handgun, highest magazine capacity, but low damage and average accuracy, handling, and ammunition pool.
FN FNP-45
The FNP-45 appears as the "P-45". It is the tier 3 handgun with above-average stats in all fields.
Heckler & Koch HK45C
The Heckler & Koch HK45C with a threaded barrel appears in the game as the "45T". It has an incorrect 15-round capacity. It is the tier 6 handgun with the second highest damage rating for a semi-automatic handgun and second largest magazine capacity.
Ruger Blackhawk
The Ruger Blackhawk appears incorrectly as the "Redhawk." It is the tier 4 handgun and has the second-highest damage for all handguns, but limited by it's 6 round cylinder capacity and low armor penetration.
SIG-Sauer P250 Compact
The SIG-Sauer P250 Compact is the default handgun for all classes. It has the highest RoF for all the other handguns, but poor stats in all other regards.
Smith & Wesson Model 629
The Smith & Wesson Model 629 appears in the game as the "Model 29". It is the Tier 7 handgun and characterized by having the most powerful damage rating of any handgun (and any non-sniper rifle type weapon for that matter) but much like the Redhawk, hampered by it's 6-round cylinder and low armor penetration.
Submachine Guns
Submachine Guns are used only by the Recon class. They are powerful in close range thanks to their high rate of fire and low ready time but are nearly useless outside 60 meters due to their short damage drop-off and mediocre accuracy.
Brügger & Thomet TP9
The Brügger & Thomet TP9 appears as the "MP9". In game, it is select-fire. It is the Tier 4 SMG characterized by it's decent damage rating, high RoF, mediocre magazine capacity, accuracy, and control.
Calico M960
The Calico M960 appears as the "M960". It is the tier 7 SMG, characterized by having a combination of high damage, RoF, and low readytime, but is hampered by it's caliber's low penetration stat. It, along with the CBJ-MS, has the highest magazine capacity capacity for any SMG with the 100-round magazine upgrade and can be made the lightest SMG in the game with the appropriate upgrades. It can be converted into the carbine variant by installing the long-barrel upgrade.
FN P90TR
The FN P90TR is one of the selectable submachine guns and appears in the game simply as the "P90". It is the tier 5 SMG characterized by it's above-average damage, RoF, control, and along with the MP7; the highest armor penetration stat for any SMG. It can be converted into an automatic version of the PS90 by installing the long-barrel upgrade.
Heckler & Koch MP5
The MP5A2 is the Recon's default SMG weapon. It is unremarkable in all regards due to the lack of customization options and poor stats. There are MP5K, MP5A3, and MP5SD versions are still in the game, which were available during open beta, but are no longer available through the store.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 appears simply as the MP7. It is the tier 2 SMG characterized by it's high RoF, low readytime and damage, and along with the P90; the highest penetration stat for any SMG. It's default 20-round magazine incorrectly hold 30 rounds, but it's 40 round magazine upgrade correctly hold the right amount of ammunition.
Izhmash PP-19 Bizon-2
The Izhmash PP-19 Bizon-2 appears simply as the "PP19". It is the Tier 3 SMG characterized by having the second highest damage rating and magazine size, but mediocre stats in all other regards. The variant used in the game is the 9x19mm version, as shown by it's 53-round magazine.
PP-2000
The PP-2000 appears in the game. It is the tier 1 SMG with average stats for an SMG, but a total upgrade over the MP5. It's default 20-round magazine incorrectly holds 30 bullets, but it's extended magazine upgrade carries the correct capacity of 44 rounds.
Saab Bofors Dynamics CBJ-MS
The Saab Bofors Dynamics CBJ-MS appears in the game as the "CBJ-MS". It is the Tier 6 SMG characterized by having the highest damage rating and magazine size for an SMG with the 100-round drum mag upgrade, but low RoF and high recoil.
It is depicted with a side-mounted rail system.
Shotguns
Shotguns are usable by both the assault and support class. They have powerful, single-shot damage but are next-to-useless beyond 30m.
Benelli M4 Super 90
The Benelli M4 Super 90 appears as the "M1014". It is possible to choose the fixed civilian butt-stock, or no stock at all. It is the tier 2 shotgun the first semi-automatic shotgun available to the player. It does the weakest amount of damage of all the shotguns in the game, but compensated by it's high RoF, ease of availability, and wide array of customization options.
Franchi SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 appears as the SPAS 12. It is the tier 6 shotgun that combines the strengths of pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns by having high damage and RoF, but hampered by it's low ammunition pool and average handling.
Of note, GR:P is one of the few games that takes advantage of the SPAS-12's dual-mode feature. Semi-automatic mode allows players to shoot at a faster rate, but the scatter is wide. Pump-action mode gives the shooter lower RoF as the gun has to be pumped every shot, but increases accuracy and tightens the weapon's spread, making it more effective at ranged combat.
Heckler & Koch CAWS
The Heckler & Koch CAWS appeared in the CBT and has not yet appeared in the released version. As most weapons, it is depicted with rails around the handguard.
High Standard Model 10B
The High Standard Model 10B is called the "Model 10a" in the game despite not having the integrated flashlight. It is the Tier 4 shotgun and the most powerful semi-automatic shotgun in the game, alongside the SPAS-12. It, however, suffers from a low magazine size of 6 and high recoil.
Kushnapup
The Kushnapup bullpup shotgun appears as the "KPS-12". It is the Tier 5 shotgun and has a mix of high damage, RoF, and handling among semi-automatic shotguns. It has an 8-round box magazine by default, which can be expanded to 10 rounds at the cost of increased reload time.
Mossberg 500
The Mossberg 500 is the assault's and support's starter shotgun and is fitted with a short barrel and standard fixed stock. It is fairly unremarkable as far as pump-action shotguns go due to it's overall lacking stats and lack of advanced customization options. There are "Cruiser", "Persuader", and 500A variants of this weapon, which were available during open beta, but are no longer available through the store.
NeoStead 2000
The NS2000 appears in the game as the "NS2000". It is the Tier 3 shotgun characterized by having the highest magazine capacity for any shotgun (12 shells maximum) and most powerful single-shot damage. It does however, suffer from slow RoF, which makes misses for this weapon very punishing.
Pancor Jackhammer
The Pancor Jackhammer appears incorrectly as "M3A1" instead of the correct "Mk3A1". It is shown with a railed top. It is the Tier 7 shotgun and is the currently the only fully automatic shotgun in the game. It is very devastating thanks to it's high damage stat, RoF, handling, magazine size, and fully-automatic feature. It's drawback is that it scatters much more wider than any other shotgun in the game, which severely limits it's ranged combat capabilities.
Pentagun
The Brazilian ENARM Pentagun semi-automatic revolver shotgun appears in the game. The in-game version appears to be fitted with accessory rails in every possible location along with a slightly shortened barrel. It is no longer available to players by the time of release, apart from special-edition versions, but can still be used by people who bought it during the beta.
Valtro PM5
The Valtro PM5 Shotgun appears as "PM5". It is the Tier 1 shotgun in the game and is very versatile and powerful thanks to it's high RoF (the fastest for any pump-action shotgun thanks to it's short pump system), damage, and 7-round box magazine. The PM5 in game can be converted into a PM5-350 by installing the short barrel upgrade.
Assault Rifles / Battle Rifles
Assault and battle rifles are the exclusive weapons of the assault class (apart from the MK14 and G36, which are recon and support class weapons, respectively.).
AN-94
The AN-94 appeared in the CBT and has not yet appeared in the released version.
AS Val
The AS VAL is no longer available to players at large but can still be used by players who bought the weapon during Open Beta. It has a high rate of fire, low readytime, and decent armor penetration stats which offset it's low damage rating. The weapon also came in with a long barreled version of VSS Vintorez, which is also no longer available to players. The weapon incorrectly features it feeding from 30 and 40 round magazines despite the magazines featured in game are only capable of carrying 10 and 20 rounds in real life.
STK SAR 21
