Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daredevil chronicles the adventures of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), after being blinded in an accident in his youth, finds that his other senses have been heightened. As an adult, Murdock juggles dual identities, as a lawyer by day and by night as the vigilante crime fighter who comes to be known as "The Devil of Hell's Kitchen", who fights a seemingly one man war to clean up his part of New York City. The series, which premiered on Netflix in 2015, is the first of four original series set in the MCU that highlights Marvel's "street-level" heroes, who united for the 2017 miniseries The Defenders. Daredevil aired for three seasons on Netflix until 2018. The superhero had been previously adapted as a 2003 feature film that starred Ben Affleck and Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Matt Murdock (now in the MCU) in the 2021 feature film Spider-Man: No Way Home and the 2022 Disney+ streaming series She-Hulk as well as the upcoming 2024 Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.

On March 1st, 2022, all Marvel Originals shows including Daredevil were removed from Netflix and subsequently moved to Disney+.
