The Arsenal AR is a series of Bulgarian manufactured AK derivatives built by the Bulgarian gunmaker Arsenal JSCo., also known as Arsenal AD in Bulgarian (not to be confused with the Russo-Italian Arsenal Firearms Group). These modernized AK variants feature milled receivers and are chambered in 7.62x39mm and 5.56x45mm in various configurations. There are many variants for export as civilian, military and law enforcement models.

In the United States, the American company Arsenal Inc. imports and manufactures under license Bulgarian Arsenal JSCo. AK rifles in the country. Aside from imported Bulgarian models, Arsenal Inc. also produces its own AK models aimed at the American market, with their own distinct models featuring setups and components not found on Bulgarian Arsenal JSCo. rifles.
