The following weapons were used in the film Beneath the Planet of the Apes:
Apes Rifle (modified M1 Carbine)
As in the original Planet of the Apes, the main rifle used in the film is a visually modified M1 Carbine. This time, the wood casing was not painted black and for some scenes a bayonet was attached. Both Taylor (Charlton Heston) and Brent (James Franciscus) are seen using the rifle. For the background extras, wooden replicas were used.
Apes Submachine Gun (modified Madsen M50)
In this film, the Apes, to include General Ursus (James Gregory), also use a submachine gun, which appears to be a visually modified Madsen M50 .
Apes Handgun (revolver)
The Apes also use a handgun which appears to be a visually modified S&W revolver.
