Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is the 2011 prequel "reboot" of the Planet of the Apes film series. The film was directed by Rupert Wyatt and stars James Franco as a scientist in search of a cure for Alzheimer's and finds that one of his apes that has been given an experimental drug appears to have developed intelligent reasoning. The film would spawn the sequels Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017).

Rifles and Carbines
M4A1 Carbine
The majority of the San Francisco SWAT teams are seen armed with M4A1 Carbines with M68 Aimpoint red dot & ACOG scopes, Knight's Armament RAS rail systems, and foregrips. Several of them have Surefire M82 rails instead of the KAC RAS rail system.
Heckler & Koch G36K
A CHP police sniper aboard a helicopter is seen sniping several apes with a Heckler & Koch G36K with a Picatinny rail, iron sights, brass catcher, and a Tac Turrets scope when the apes cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk. III
The African poachers in the beginning of the film are seen with Lee-Enfield rifles.
Machine Guns
Daewoo K3 (mocked up as an M249)
A CHP officer is seen firing a Daewoo K3 mocked up to resemble an M249 SAW at the apes attacking the police blockade on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Shotguns
Remington 870
A Remington 870 with black furniture, Surefire weaponlight, door-breaching muzzle, a pistol grip, and a Crane stock is seen being carried by several SFPD SWATs, sometimes with or without the Surefire weaponlight.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
A possible Heckler & Koch MP5A2 fitted with a Surefire 628 dedicated forend weaponlight is seen being carried by a SFPD SWAT riding in a SWAT van. Several SFPD SWATs are also seen with MP5A2s without the Surefire weaponlight.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
A Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with the newer UMP-style stock and ACOG scope is seen being used by an SFPD SWAT at a police blockade on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Handguns
Glock 17
Glock 17s are used by SFPD and Highway Patrol officers during the Golden Gate Bridge attack.
