The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.: The Fifteen Years Later Affair is a 1983 TV movie based on the 1964 TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E., starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. Leo G. Carroll, who had played Number 1 of Section 1 Alexander Waverly, had passed away years earlier in 1972, and Patrick Macnee, playing a new character, came in to replace him. Anthony Zerbe, Geoffrey Lewis, Tom Mason, and Gayle Hunnicutt, round out the cast.

When Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) asks the UNCLE armorer Z-65 (Judith Chapman) what happened to their old special UNCLE guns, she coldly replies that "They're in the special UNCLE wing of the Smithsonian."

"JB" (George Lazenby) draws a Walther PPK to set aside. "JB" is just another British secret agent in a white tux driving a silver Aston Martin DB5 with the initals "JB" who looks like George Lazenby, but is legally not James Bond. This is an homage to Ian Fleming, who had a hand in developing the original series. Andrea Markovitch (Gayle Hunnicutt) even makes reference to On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
