Revision as of 06:13, 31 July 2017
The following weapons appear in the video game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and its expansion packs Spearhead and Breakthrough:
Handguns
Colt M1911A1
The main sidearm used for all US Forces is the Colt M1911A1 pistol. It is the standard pistol for US forces in multiplayer.
High Standard HDM
The High Standard HDM pistol is available only in some singleplayer missions in Allied Assault, where Powell goes undercover. It makes no appearance in either Spearhead or Breakthrough, where it is only usable by a cheat. It is not available in multiplayer, except on modified servers.
Webley Mk.IV
Refered to simply as the "Webley Revolver", the Webley .38 Mk IV revolver appears in the D-Day missions of Spearhead, where the British paratroopers give one to Barnes. It is also available to the british forces in multiplayer in Spearhead and Breakthrough.
Nagant M1895
The Nagant M1895 revolver is available to Barnes in the first Berlin mission in Spearhead. It is also available to the Russian forces in multiplayer in Spearhead and Breakthrough. An inaccuracy during gameplay can be noticed during the revolver's reloading sequence; the revolver is shown as being reloaded whilst the hammer is cocked, but this is not possible in real life as the cylinder is locked in place when the hammer is cocked.
Walther P38
The Walther P38 pistol is used by the German forces in both single and multiplayer.
Beretta M1934
Introduced in the Breakthrough expansion pack, the Beretta M1934 incorrectly features a 15-round magazine, when in reality it only has a 7-round magazine. Appears simply as "Beretta".
Submachine Guns
M1A1 Thompson
The M1A1 Thompson is used by US forces.
Sten Mk.V
The Sten Mk V sub-machine gun, minus the foregrip, is introduced in the D-Day missions of Spearhead. Also available to British forces in multiplayer in Spearhead and Breakthrough. The game incorrectly refers to it as the "Sten Mk. II".
PPSh-41
The PPSh-41 is introduced in the Berlin mission in Spearhead. In the first expansion pack, Spearhead, it incorrectly had a 45 round magazine and a low rate of fire, in stark contrast to the real weapon. The second expansion pack, Breakthrough, keeps the low rate of fire and corrects the magazine size to a 71 round magazine.
MP40
The MP40 sub-machine guns are available to German forces.
Beretta Model 38A
The Beretta Model 38 sub-machine gun is used by Italian forces in Breakthrough. The game simply calls it "Moschetto".
Shotguns
Winchester M1912 Shotgun
A Winchester M1912 is available in-game, and is simply referred to as the "Shotgun".
Rifles / Carbines
M1 Garand
The first weapon available for use is the M1 Garand. It is used by the US rifleman in multiplayer.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I rifle is also seen in-game. It is used by British paratroopers in the Spearhead expansion pack.
De Lisle Commando
The De Lisle Carbine pistol caliber carbine is featured in the Breakthrough expansion Pack; it is used by the player character while infiltrating an Italian airfield. It has an integrated suppressor and a 7 round magazine.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
The Mosin Nagant M1891/30 is used by Russian soldiers in the Spearhead expansion pack. It is the standard rifle for Russian rifleman in multiplayer.
Tokarev SVT-40
A scoped Tokarev SVT-40 Rifle is the Soviet sniper rifle in the expansion packs. The player character can carry it when infiltrating Berlin in the Spearhead expansion pack's Russian campaign, and it is the standard sniper rifle for the Russians in multiplayer.
Karabiner 98 Kurz
The Karabiner 98k is the standard German rifle, and is used by most of the German soldiers in-game.
Sturmgewehr 44
The Sturmgewehr 44 is used by some late-game enemies.
Carcano M91/38
The Carcano M91/38 is used in the Breakthrough expansion Pack.
Sniper Rifles
M1903A4 Springfield
A M1903A4 Springfield rifle is used as a sniper weapon for the US forces.
Enfield L42A1
The Enfield L42A1 is the standard British sniper rifle in-game, and is used during the Monte Cassino and Monte Battaglia levels. The L42A1's appearance is anachronistic, as it did not appear until the early 1970's. A more suitable weapon that could have been used would have been the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T).
Karabiner 98 Kurz (with Scope)
The German sniper rifle of choice.
Gewehr 43 (w Scope)
The Gewehr 43 is first used in the Spearhead expansion pack, where it is fitted with a scope.
Machine Guns
M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle
The BAR is introduced in the 3rd campaign, during the hedgerow fighting.
M1919A4 Browning
The Browning M1919A4 is used from the back of a Jeep in an early level.
Vickers-Berthier
The Vickers-Berthier is the standard British machine gun (though the Bren Gun would have been more appropriate), and has a 30-round magazine capacity. It is first obtained in the Caltagirone Airfield level, and later during the fighting in Gela.
Degtyaryov DT
The Degtyaryov DT is introduced in the Spearhead expansion pack, and is seen in fixed positions in-game (rathe odd for a weapon that could be either a tank-mounted machine gun or an infantry-carried one; the Maxim M1910 would be a more appropriate choice).
Maschinengewehr 42
The MG42 is frequently encountered in fixed positions.
Breda Modello 30
The Breda Modello 30 is introduced in the Breakthrough expansion pack. Similarly to the Degtyaryov DT, it is seen in fixed positions, despite being intended as an infantry-portable light machine gun; the Breda Modello 37 would be more appropriate for this role.
Grenades
Mk.2 Fragmentation Grenade
The Mk 2 hand grenade is one of the high-explosive fragmentation hand grenades available in the game, being used by the Americans.
M18 Smoke Grenade
The M18 smoke grenade is used during Spearhead's D-Day mission to provide temporary cover.
No.36 High Explosive Fragmentation Hand Grenade "Mills Bomb"
The Mills Bomb is another fragmentation grenade available in-game, and is used by the British.
F1 Fragmentation Grenade
The F1 hand grenade is the standard Russian hand grenade in-game.
RDG-1 Smoke Grenade
The[RDG-1 Smoke Grenade is also usable in-game, being standard for the Russians.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate is yet another usable hand grenade in-game, and is used by the Germans.
Nebelkerze 39B Smoke Grenade
The Nebelkerze 39B Smoke Grenade is standard equipment for the Germans in-game.
Bomba a Mano Mod. 35, S.R.C.M. High Explosive Grenade
The Bomba a Mano Mod. 35, S.R.C.M. is used by the Italian Forces as their high explosive hand grenade. It can also be used by the player character when picked up.
Bomba a Mano Mod. 35, O.T.O. High Explosive Grenade
The Bomba a Mano Mod. 35, O.T.O. is incorrectly used by the Italian Forces as their smoke grenade. The correct choice would have been the Bomba a Mano Mod. 35, S.R.C.M. FI.
Launchers
Gewehrgranatengerät
Added in Breakthrough, the Schiessbecher ("Shooting Cup") aka Gewehrgranatengerät ("rifle grenade apparatus") was added to replace the shotgun for the Germans in the multiplayer part of the game.
M1 Rocket Launcher "Bazooka"
The M1 Bazooka is the standard American anti-tank weapon the the game. In the original game, it is used during the hedgerow fighting, and again in the infamous "Sniper Town" level. In Breakthrough, you use it the town of Gela and again in the fighting at Monte Battaglia.
Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank (PIAT)
The Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank (PIAT) is the standard British anti-armor weapon.
Raketenpanzerbüchse 54 "Panzerschreck"
The Panzerschreck is the standard German anti-armor weapon in-game.
