Iron Fist is the 2017 Netflix series adaptation of the Marvel superhero comic book of the same name. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series follows Danny Rand (Finn Jones), the presumed deceased son of a billionaire businessman who returns to New York City after a 15 year absence. Having been raised in a monastery in the Himalayas, Rand now possesses the ability to summon a mystical force known as the "Iron Fist". Iron Fist is the fourth original Netflix series set in the MCU that will highlight Marvel's "street-level" heroes, who will eventually unite for the 2017 Netflix miniseries The Defenders.
