Angel of Evil (Vallanzasca – Gli angeli del male) is a 2010 Italian crime drama directed by Michele Placido. It is based on the biography of notorious bank robber of 1970s Renato Vallanzasca.
The following weapons were used in the film Angel of Evil (Vallanzasca - Gli angeli del male):
Revolvers
Colt Python
In several scenes Enzo (Filippo Timi), Armando (Stefano Chiodaroli) and Beppe (Paolo Mazzarelli) use Colt Python revolvers.
Smith & Wesson Model 10HB
While purchasing guns for his gang, Renato Vallanzasca (Kim Rossi Stuart) tests the Smith & Wesson Model 10HB revolver. Later S&W Model 10HB revolvers are seen in hands of Rosario (Nicola Acunzo), Armando (Stefano Chiodaroli) and Beppe (Paolo Mazzarelli).
Pistols
Beretta 92S
Most widely used handguns in the movie are Beretta 92S pistols, indetified by the rounded trigger guard, the magazine release catch on the bottom of the grip and non-ambidextrous safety. Their appearance in pre-1977 events is anachronistic. Beretta 92S is the preferred weapon of Renato Vallanzasca (Kim Rossi Stuart). Several of his accomplices and numerous police officers also use Beretta pistols.
Tanfoglio TZ-75
During the shootout on the road block Nunzio (Lino Guanciale) uses a Tanfoglio TZ-75.
Walther PP
During the shootout on Piazza Vetra in Milan Fausto (Gaetano Bruno) uses the Walther PP.
Walther P38
During one of the bank heists Rosario (Nicola Acunzo) is armed with the Walther P38.
Unidentified pistol
In one scene an unidentified pistol is seen in hand of dead Renato's elder brother Ennio (uncredited).
Submachine Guns
Beretta M12
In several scenes Polizia di Stato (Italian State Police) use Beretta M12 SMGs.
MP40
When Renato Vallanzasca purchases guns for his gang, Rosario (Nicola Acunzo) and Enzo (Filippo Timi) test the MP40 SMG.
Sten Mk II
A pair of Sten Mk II SMGs is seen among the guns that Renato purchase for his gang. They aren't used in action.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
During the first robbery of cash truck, commited by Vallanzasca's gang, Nunzio (Lino Guanciale) is armed with the Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser
During the massacre of Turatello's henchmen, Fausto (Gaetano Bruno) uses the Mossberg 590 Compact Cruiser with rifle sights. This gun is anachronistic for 1970s.
Assault Rifles
Type 56-1
The Norinco Type 56-1 assault rifle is widely used by the gang, passing from hands to hands. It is carries by Renato Vallanzasca (Kim Rossi Stuart), Enzo (Filippo Timi), Sergio (Moritz Bleibtreu) and Beppe (Paolo Mazzarelli).
AKS-47
In one scene Enzo's (Filippo Timi) Norinco Type 56-1 switches to original AKS-47.
AK-47/Type 56
Full-stock AK-47 or Norinco Type 56 is used by Sergio (Moritz Bleibtreu) in one scene. It isn't seen clear enough to identify the exact model.
Other Weapons
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
Mk 2 hand grenades are seen in several scenes.
