− | The stainless steel long barrel [[Makarov PM]] model from ''[[Yakuza 6]]'' returns (including the inaccurate right side safety and the fact that the safety is engaged). It is used by all Yakuza factions in the game. There are new animations added to the weapon: NPCs using the pistol will reload after firing around four shots (although they simply mime the actions as they don't eject or place a new magazine in the pistol and the slide never moves when they fire or cock it). A normal black version appears wielded by Watase Family captain Yuki Tsuruno (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) in an early cutscene when kidnaps Hanawa. It isn't seen again after this. In game it is refered to as "Pistol". When using his "Agent" fighting style, "Joryu" has the ability to disarm enemies and disassemble their pistol. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (Japanese: 龍が如く7外伝 名を消した男 Ryū Ga Gotoku 7 Gaiden: Na wo Keshita Otoko lit. "Like a Dragon 7 Side Story: The Man Who Erased His Name") is an action-adventure spin-off of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, taking place in-between Yakuza 6, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth following the exploits of Kazuma Kiryu after his apparent death at the end of Yakuza 6. It was created by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA on November 2023 for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox X/S globally.
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
The following weapons appear in the video game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name:
Handguns & Revolvers
1911-type Pistol
The updated Yakuza: Dead Souls 1911-type pistol model with some elements from the SIG P210 and Beretta 92FS returns from Yakuza 6. It is wielded by Daidoji agents, with it primarily being used by Daidoji manager Yoshimura. Strangely it appears in the hands of an Omi Alliance member in a cutscene near the final boss fight (due to them only using Makarovs in the gameplay).
Makarov PM
The stainless steel long barrel Makarov PM model from Yakuza 6 returns (including the inaccurate right side safety and the fact that the safety is engaged). The text on the left side of the pistol is: "MX-643k Cal.x.xmm TX3X01X05H" while on the right is "H UXTXVYA".
Nambu Model 60
Police officers in the game are modelled with this revolver holstered. It is distinguished by its distinctive lanyard ring and associated handgrip cutout.
Smith & Wesson Model 10/Colt Detective Special
The updated Yakuza 4 revolver model from Judgment returns, and is used in a cutscene by "Joryu"/Kiryu. The revolver is a hybrid of a Smith & Wesson Model 10 with the barrel and handgrips from a third-gen Colt Detective Special. It also features a handgrip adaptor.
Submachine guns
Ingram MAC-10
The submachine gun based on the MAC-10 with the front grip and (incorrectly collapsed) stock from a Brügger & Thomet MP9 from Yakuza 3. It is imaginatively called "Submachine Gun", it is used when activating the special ability of Coliseum fighters Renji and Chicken Man. Several models are also seen inside Akira Mizorogi's workshop.
Shotguns
Remington M870
The Remington 870 shotgun makes a return from Yakuza: Dead Souls and is called "Shotgun." As this model is identical to that of previous Yakuza titles, it also features a front piece linking the magazine tube and barrel, like the Remington Model 31. It is used primarily by the Kijin Clan yakuza, although it appears in the hands of street thugs later in the game after Akira Mizorogi's workshop gets raided. The shotgun will comically send "Joryu" flying if he gets hit by the blast.
Assault Rifles
AK-type rifle
The AK-based assault rifle from Binary Domain returns as a prop in Akira Mizorogi's workshop. It is made out of a mishmash of AK pattern parts, particularly AK-102 and AK-105 carbine components. The rear sight is also mounted on the receiver's dust cover, which is highly unusual for an AK-type rifle, although it is seen on some AK derivatives such as the Galil.
Unknown Rifle
The strange looking rifles return from Yakuza 3, mounted on the walls inside Akira Mizorogi's workshop. It's top sight and brown furniture are similar to an Armalite AR-10, but seems to be chambered in a smaller caliber, with an odd front grip, appear in the weapon dealer's Tardis-like van. They additionally have cosmetic similarities to a prototype of the Howa Type 64, but this is likely nothing more than coincidence. Just like in Yakuza 3, they are unusable.
Launchers & Grenades
Rocket launcher
This weapon is only useable by Coliseum fighter Sheep Man when using his special ability, appearing once more as "Rocket Launcher". The model first appeared in Yakuza 6, and is based on the Panzerfaust 3-derived Rocket launcher model from Binary Domain, but with the 60mm warhead deleted.
Flash Bang
The flashbang model from Yakuza: Dead Souls returns, exclusively used by enemies NPCS. Once more it appears to be a hybrid of the M18 smoke grenade and the Model 7290 flashbang grenade.
Unknown Grenade
Akira Mizorogi's workshop features many low resolution grenades on the weapon racks which somewhat resemble a fusion of the yellow MK II Hand Grenades, the Type 89 Hand Grenade and the Type 97 Hand Grenades.
Other
Flamethrower
A strange flamethrower model which appears to be borrowing the grip from the Tanegashima from Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan!, along with some parts of the flamethrower from Yakuza: Dead Souls appears inside Akira Mizorogi's workshop.
