Victorious Return (Latvian title Majup ar uzvaru, Russian title Vozvrashchenie s pobedoy) is a Soviet Latvian B&W 1948 (filmed 1947) war movie, directed by Aleksandr Ivanov and based on the play "Victory" by Vilis Lacis. A Latvian Augusts Grieze (Arturs Dimiters), Red Army Lieutenant, is wounded in action in Summer 1941 and taken as prisoner. He refuses to collaborate with Nazi, but nevertheless his name is used in German propaganda as if Grieze was a defector. Augusts manages to escape and under false name "Krum" he becoms a partisan. Now Augusts has to cleanse his name and to uncover a German spy, posing as Soviet soldier of Grieze's unit.
The following weapons were used in the film Victorious Return (Majup ar uzvaru):
Pistols
Tokarev TT-33
Augusts Grieze (Arturs Dimiters) alias "Krum" uses a TT-33 in the scene of attack on bridge. Partisan Melnikov (Pavel Volkov) carries a TT in holster.
Wz. 35 Vis
In following scene Augusts Grieze's TT switches to a Wz. 35 Vis when Melnikov hands the pistol to Augusts's mother (Ludmila Spilberga).
Walther P38
A Walther P38 is seen in hands of a German officer.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
PPSh-41 SMGs are used by officers and soldiers of Red Army, including Lazda (Rihards Zandersons) and Tolens (Zanis Katlaps), soldiers of Latvian rifle division, and by Soviet partisans. Both drum and stick magazines are seen.
MP40
Many German soldiers are armed with MP40s. Augusts Grieze (Arturs Dimiters) uses an MP40 in several scenes. Some partisans also carry MP40s.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Most Red Army soldiers and many Soviet partisans are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles.
Mauser Rifles
German soldiers and Soviet partisans carry full length Mauser rifles in battle scene. These are possibly Mauser Gewehr 98s (maybe of post-1918 version, as Lange-Visiers aren't seen) or Czech or Polish 1920s derivatives of G98.
Karabiner 98k
A Karabiner 98k rifle is seen in hands of a partisan (Karlis Trencis).
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27
A DP-27 is used by a soldier of Lt. Grieze's platoon in Summer 1941. DP-27s are also seen in hands of soldiers of Soviet Latvian division in late years of the war.
Degtyaryov DT
Degtyaryov DT machine guns are mounted on T-34 tanks.
MG 34
German troops and Soviet partisans use MG 34 machine guns.
Browning M1919A4
In one scene German soldiers use a Browning M1919A4 machine gun. It is most likely a Lend-Lease weapon, standing for Ckm wz.30, a Polish version of M1919 in 7.92mm caliber.
Maxim M1910/30
Soviet troops use Maxim M1910/30 machine guns in several scenes.
Degtyaryov-Shpagin DShK
DShK machine guns are seen in several scenes.
37mm 61-K AA Autocannon
A 37mm 61-K autocannon, standing for German Flak, is seen guarding the bridge that is the target of partisans.
