To Do List

Dropped

  • Chrono Crusade (Watched/screencaped the first 7 episodes. That was all the mediocre writing, unoriginal story and pathetic animation that I could take.)
  • Speed Grapher (No episodes screencapped. I caught a Kalashnikov, a TT-33, a M1911 and an AR-15 in the opening sequence, but I found myself unable to take the series as seriously as it wants after the attack of the amazing rubber bondage man.)

Angel Cop (1989 - 1994)

Angel Cop is a six part OVA from DAST Corporation and Studio 88. Comparable to Mad Bull 34, Angel Cop was one of Manga Entertainment's early 90's releases that became notorious for it's over-the-top violence, low-quality "punched-up" dub, and anti-American (anti-Semitic in the original Japanese dialogue) sentiments.

The folowing firearms are seen in the anime OVA Angel Cop:

Handguns

Angel's Custom M1911

"Angel" uses a custom M1911 pistol with either a nickel or stainless steel finish, target sights, an ambidextrous safety, ported compensator, and grips that inexplicably extend over the lower part of the slide.

"Don't look so surprised, I'm your fuckin' backup." Angel introduces herself after blowing a suspects skull apart with her M1911.
Angel interrogates a suspect by... shoving a gun in his face and ranting about Communism.
Tip: If your weapon's muzzle flash is neon blue, you might should consider a different brand of ammunition. Also, no human's thumbs should be able to do that.

Colt Python

In the first episode, Raiden carries a Colt Python revolver.

"We've ghott'n rehports of a leak! We're makin' a sahfty inspection!" Raiden prepares to enter a suspected Red May hideout while trying to fake an American accent.

Unidentified Pistol

The police forces seen in the OVA all use this unidentified pistol.

Cybernetic Soldier Pistol

Dr. Ichihara offers Angel this fictional pistol in return for her being cybernetically enhanced. It is described as having recoil harsh enough to break a normal person's arm after two shots, and appears to be built around a variant of the Beretta 92 pistol series.

Unknown Automatic

The Special Security Force is occasionally seen using a bizarre weapon that is something of a mashup between several different assault rifle and machine gun designs. The weapon is always stockless and outfitted with a sound suppressor and a brass catcher.

Gun Frontier

Gun Frontier (2002)

Gun Frontier is a thirteen episode anime series based on the manga by Leiji Matsumoto. It is the fifth adaptation of the Harlock franchise and is by far its most unusual entry, changing the setting and genre from a Space Opera set in the 30th century to an action-comedy set in the American Western Frontier.
