Inspector Atsuko Jackson carries a custom M1911 as her standard weapon. The pistol's modifications include target sights, and extended safety switch, skeleton trigger, and a long slide and 7" barrel (similar to the AMT Hardballer Longslide).

Rico carries a Browning Hi-Power pistol. The weapon is a conglomeration of various Hi-Power models, featuring the slide of the early Hi-Power models and the horn hammer of the post-1973 models.

The guards in Penitenciár de Diamandra carry Beretta M12 (likely intended to be the Brazilian "Taurus OM12" clone) submachine guns. Michiko snags one during her escape, and continues to use it throughout the first episode.

In episode 10, Atsuko retrieves a pump-action crossbow from the trunk of her patrol car after she looses her sidearm.

The Galaxy Railways (2003-2004)

'The Galaxy Railways is a 26 episode anime series from Leiji Matsumoto that acts as a spin-off from the 1978 television series Galaxy Express 999. As per Matsumoto's style, the show features technology that blends science-fiction concepts with archaic imagery and motifs, a style that also applies to many of the weapons.
