The following guns were used in the film Max Payne (2008):

Max Payne (2008)

Beretta 92FS

Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses a Beretta 92FS as his main sidearm in the film.

Beretta 92FS - 9mm.
Max loads up his Beretta 92FS before heading to the train station.
Max chambers his Beretta before entering his partner Det. Balder's (Donal Logue) house. Real cops typically keep their sidearms with a round in the chamber at all times, but it is considered "cooler" for him to rack the action at any given opportunity.
Max searches Balder's house with his Beretta at the ready.
Max's Beretta is knocked away when he is attacked in Balder's house.
Max points his Beretta at Owen Green (Joel Gordon) while using a decent Harries technique to keep the flashlight level.
Max holds his Beretta on Jason Colvin (Chris O'Donnell) while interigating him about his wife's murder.
Max fires his Beretta during the shootout with the SWAT team in the Aesir building.

Taurus Judge

Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) carries a Taurus 4510 Judge revolver in 410 Gauge and .45 Long Colt as his backup gun in the film. The gun's ultimate power is grossly misinterpreted, since Hollywood sees this as simply a "shotgun revolver", when infact the .45 Long Colt it fires has more effective stopping power than the birdshot rounds it typically fires (based on the shot pattern left by the gun in the film, it is assumed he uses birdshot). Somehow he manages to fire six shots from a five shot cylinder in this scene.

Max draws his Taurus Judge.
Max fires his Taurus Judge at the thug crawling under the bathroom stalls.
Max blows open the stalls with his Taurus Judge, which wouldn't blast open doors like this in real life. What's interesting is that all the stalls appear to be locked, which was likely done so the explosives used to imitate the shotgun blast could be consistant with each door, and locking them shut makes that easier.

Max surrenders his Taurus Judge when being held up by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis).
A CGI replicated Taurus Judge is seen firing in the credits, although its actual look is off from the true gun.

Charter Arms Undercover

A Charter Arms Undercover hammerless is seen on the table when Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is cleaning and loading his guns. Max is later seen firing it at an assailant in Balder's house.

Charter Arms Undercover Hammerless - .38spl.
Charter Arms Undercover circled in red. Notice the shotgun shells next to the Taurus Judge, confirming that it is the .410 version
Max lets loose six rounds from his Undercover while firing through the holster at the attacker in Balder's house. The holster is attached to his thigh, which proves it is not his Taurus Judge, which he keep in a cross draw hip holster.

SIG-Sauer P226R

BB's right hand man (name?) uses a SIG-Sauer P226R as his sidearm. When he is killed by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis), she gives the gun to Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg), who uses it when confronting BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the roof.

SIG-Sauer P226R - 9mm.
A guard draws his SIG-Sauer P226R in the night club.

Max runs into BB's office firing the SIG P226R.
A better shot of the SIG P226R.
Max points the SIG P226R at BB.
Max keeps the SIG P226R level long enough for a fair amount of snow to cluster on it. The snow used is fake snow, as real snow would melt from Max's body heat as he handles the gun and the fact he fired it moments before.
Max fires.
The gun cycles. We then see the bullet fly to its target. In reality, a bullet is in its target commonly before the gun even cycles.

Flintlock Muskets and Pistols

A glass display case is seen in BB's office filled with several flintlock rifles/muskets and pistols. In the film it is not seen clearly so a promotional image is used.

The rack behind Max has several old fashioned firearms in it.

Heckler & Koch MP5KA4

Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) carries a Heckler & Koch MP5KA4 fitted with a 15 round magazine as an unconventional sidearm hidden under her jacket by a sling. During the final assault, Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) wields two MP5Ks akimbo, effectively dispatching corrupt police by the dozens. When Max confronts BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the building rooftop, BB fires on Max with an MP5K, but it runs empty before he can score a fatal hit.

Several MP5Ks are seen when BB grabs C4 from the wall safe.
Mona kills a thug with her MP5K.
BB tries to shoot Max with an MP5K but it clicks empty.

Heckler & Koch G36C

Several guards in the warehouse are seen using Heckler & Koch G36Cs.

Unknown SMG/Grease gun?

One of Lincoln's thugs is seen armed with an Unknown SMG. I over looked it as an MP40, but now I realize it isn't. Can't seem to match it to anything.

AKM

Several AKMs fitted with East-German style blank firing adapters are seen in Lincoln's gun collection.

AKM - 7.62x39mm.
Three AKMs circled in red.

SIG SG-552

SIG SG-552 carbines are carried by several Aesir Corporation bodyguards in the film.

Mossberg 590

Mossberg 590 shotguns are used by several of the corrupt SWAT team members in the Aesir building. Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses one during the final battle at the end of the film.

Mossberg 500

A Mossberg 500 is seen during the credit sequence composed of CGI. Of equal note is the appearance of a Mossberg 500 "Cruiser" in the credits. Neither are seen in the actual film.

Magazine tube cap is for a 500, not a 590. Appears the gun was sawed down with a hack saw.

Winchester 1300 Defender

Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses a pistol gripped Winchester 1300 Defender to clear out the drug warehouse. In the typical hollywood fashion, anyone hit with the shotgun blast is launched 10 feet back, which doesn't happen in real life.

Winchester 1300 Defender - 12 Gauge.
Max loads up his Winchester 1300 Defender.

To stay faithful to the game, here Max dives backwards and does the famous "Shoot Dodge". If you look closely, he pumps the action inward, but never back so the gun somehow fires with the action open.

Remington 870

During the final battle, several Aesir guards wield both full length and pistol gripped Remington 870 shotguns. Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) picks up a pistol gripped model and uses it to dispatch some guards before the drugs he took over power him.

Colt Detective Special

While at the train station, a junkie pulls a Colt Detective Special with a spurred hammer on Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) before he dissarms him and tosses it in the running sink.

Colt Detective Special - .38spl.
The junkie holds his Colt Detective Special on Max.
Max tosses the Detective Special in the sink.

When the film flashes back and we see Max come home to find his family murdered, he dispatches several of Aesir's hired thugs with his issued Colt Detective Special, which makes sense for him to use since before he started working Cold Case, he was a Detective.

Max fires his Detective Special at thugs in his house.
The Detective Special slips from Max's hand when he finds his wife dead.

Glock 17

While Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is hallucinating in the Aesir building, one Aesir guard tries to sneak up on him armed with a Glock 17 but is gunned down by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) first.

Glock 17 3rd Generation - 9mm.
An Aesir guard aims his Glock 17 at Max.

M1911A1

BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) carries an M1911A1 as his sidearm in the film, and uses it to shoot at Max (Mark Wahlberg) as he runs away.

Colt MK IV Series 70 - .45 ACP.
BB uses his M1911A1 to kill Jack Lupino (Amaury Nolasco).
BB fires his M1911A1 at Max as he runs.
BB fires his M1911A1 at Max in the river before his gun *clicks* empty, instead of locking back.

Para-Ordnance Warthog

Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) uses a Para-Ordnance Warthog fitted with a sound suppressor to kill an Aesir guard.

Para-Ordnance Warthog - .45 ACP.
Mona kills a guard with her suppressed Para-Ordnance Warthog. The gun doesn't cycle when fired and the hammer only falls once.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Heavy Barrel

Lt. Jim Bravura (Ludacris) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Heavy Barrel as his sidearm in the film and holds it on Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) when he confronts him in the Aesir building.
