Unidentified hand grenade

In one scene Sgt. Marcel Bizien (Yves Montand) uses a hand grenade. It appears to be some "Pineapple"-style grenade but it isn't seen clear enough to be identified.

Bizien readies a grenade, pulling the pin with his teeth (a classic cinema feat!).
