Criminal Minds - Season 3
The following weapons were used in Season 3 of the television series Criminal Minds:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Pistols
Glock 17
Standard Third-Generation Glock 17 pistols are carried by B.A.U. (Behavior Analysis Unit) Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). Other FBI agents and some police officers are seen with Glock 17 pistols. In "Identity" (S03E07), a milita member notably remarks on Reid's unusual frontal appendix-carry for his Glock, stating "The way you wear that gun, you're just beggin' someone to take it off ya."

Glock 17 (Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight)
Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) carries a third-generation Glock 17 with a mounted Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight/laser module as his duty sidearm.

Glock 19
SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) uses a Third-Generation Glock 19 as her sidearm. A Glock 19 is also carried by Miami Detective Tina Lopez (Tia Texada) in the episode "In Heat" (S03E17) and NYPD Detective Cooper (Erik Palladino) in the Season 3 finale "Lo-Fi" (S03E20). Glock 19s are also carried by other various police officers.

Glock 26
The Glock 26 is the duty weapon of the B.A.U.'s 'Communications Liaison' SSA Jennifer 'J.J.' Jareau (A.J. Cook). She notably uses it during a standoff with Jason Clark Battle at the conclusion of "Penelope" (S03E09). The Glock 26 also is the backup weapon carried by both Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), both carried in ankle holsters. Morgan's Glock 26 is shown in two instances in Season 3 - First in the episode "In Name and Blood" (S03E02), where he gives it to Prentiss (Paget Brewster) to use when she enters the house of an unsub (as she did not have her standard Glock 19 at the time) and again in "Penelope" (S03E09), giving it to B.A.U. Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) to defend herself when an unsub named James Colby Baylor (later identified as Jason Clark Battle) comes to her apartment trying to kill her.

SIG-Sauer P228
FBI Senior SSA Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) carries a SIG-Sauer P228 as his sidearm, which he began carrying in Season 2. The weapon is notably seen held by Gideon at the end of the Season 3 opening episode "Doubt" (S03E01) and later seen (for the final time) on a table at Gideon's cabin at the conclusion of the following episode "In Name and Blood" (S03E02).

Springfield Custom Professional 1911-A1
SSA David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) takes up a Springfield Custom Professional 1911-A1 in "About Face" (S3E06). He carries the Springfield as his sidearm from then on in the series. Rossi has a background of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, which possibly helps explain his use of a 1911-type pistol. It should be noted that it is FBI firearms policy that only FBI Special Agents who are a current or were a former member of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team or a FBI Regional SWAT Team are actually authorized to carry the 1911-A1 .45 caliber pistol.

Beretta 92FS
Beretta 92FS pistols are used by many characters, including criminals and police officers. A Beretta appears to be the sidearm carried by Deputy Sheriff Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase), which he notably uses at the end of "Penelope" (S3E09) to hold an agent hostage at B.A.U. headquarters.

Beretta 92SB
What appears to be a Beretta 92SB is held by a Montana Highway Patrol officer in "Identity" (S03E07). Because the weapon was to be held during a stunt, this is likely a rubber prop replica.

Beretta 950 Jetfire
In the Season 3 finale episode "Lo-Fi" (S03E20), unsubs use Beretta 950 Jetfire pistols to kill several civilians in New York City. Police ballistic analysts state it is chambered in .22 long rifle, and explains the caliber was most likely used since NYC background noise was often almost as loud as the report of a .22LR.
M1911A1
Various M1911A1 pistols are seen several times throughout the series. One is seen carried by militia member Francis Goehring (Michael Cudlitz) at the beginning of "Identity" (S03E07).

Revolvers
Astra 357
An Astra 357 with 3" barrel is wielded by a foster child near the end of "Children of the Dark" (S03E04).
Smith & Wesson Model 13
A Smith & Wesson Model 13 is used by former militia member Henry Frost (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) in "Identity" (S03E07).

Smith & Wesson Model 36
Standard J-frame Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers are used by numerous unsubs (short for 'unknown-subjects') throughout the show. One is notably used at the conclusion of "Lucky" (S03E08) by James Colby Baylor/Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase). Flashbacks of this scene appear in the next episode "Penelope" (S03E09) as well.

Smith & Wesson Model 442 Airweight
A Smith & Wesson Model 442 revolver is seen in an Unsub's confiscated backpack in the episode "In Heat" (S03E17).

Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28
An unsub draws what appears to be an N-frame Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28 .357 Magnum revolver (Most likely a Model 28) at the end of "About Face" (S03E06).

Smith & Wesson Model 67
In "Penelope" (S03E09), Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase) purchases a Smith & Wesson Model 67 that he uses when he goes to Penelope's apartment.
Rifles / Carbines
M4A1
Throughout the series, FBI SWAT and several local police tactical units carry M4A1 carbines, both standard models and variants with various accessories. Former militia member Henry Frost (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) is seen with one holding a hostage on a hilltop in "Identity" (S03E07). A teenage unsub also uses a standard M4A1 in "Elephant's Memory" (S03E16).

AKM
In "Identity" (S03E07), a photograph is seen of Francis Goehring (Michael Cudlitz) holding what appears to be an AKM rifle. It's likely that this is a prop replica.

Sniper Rifles
Remington 700PSS
A Remington 700PSS is seen wielded by a SWAT sniper in "Children of the Dark" (S03E04).

Winchester Model 70
In "Identity" (S03E07), Harris Townsend (Pat Skipper), a militia leader deputized by the sheriff, uses a Winchester Model 70 fitted with a scope and Harris bipod to kill a crazy former militia member and save a hostage. Harris then gives the team the spent shell.

Shotguns
Mossberg 590
A gas station owner pulls out a Mossberg 590 fitted with a heat shield when a kidnapping takes place in "Identity" (S03E07). What appears to be a Mossberg is seen in the lap of a woman hiding from an unsub in "About Face" (S03E06).

Remington 870
A Remington 870 is used by former hitman Jack Vaughan (Fredric Lane) in a confrontation with his daughter's captor in "3rd Life" (S03E12).

Over/Under Double Barrel Shotgun
David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) is seen hunting with a Over-and-Under Double Barrel Shotgun at the beginning of "About Face" (S03E06), his first episode on the series. It should be noted that actor Joe Mantegna is a big skeet shooter in real life.

Other
M26 hand grenade
In "Identity" (S03E07), militia member Francis Goehring (Michael Cudlitz) pulls the pin on an M26 hand grenade when stopped by law enforcement.
