Striptease (1995)

Striptease is a 1995 comedy-drama written and directed by Andrew Bergman. Based on the caper novel by Carl Hiaasen, the film stars Demi Moore as Erin Grant, a single mother working as an exotic dancer to pay for an expensive custody battle with her ex-husband (Robert Patrick). Grant's act also attracts the attention of a lecherous United States Congressman (Burt Reynolds).

The following weapons were used in the film Striptease:

Smith & Wesson Model 36

During the opening fracas in the Eager Beaver, Dilbeck's aide, Erb Crandall (Robert Stanton) flashes what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 36 snub nose revolver.

Beretta 950 Jetfire

Erin Grant (Demi Moore) pulls a Beretta Jetfire automatic on Congressman Dilbeck (Burt Reynolds) and her ex-husband Darrell (Robert Patrick).

Smith & Wesson 5906

Darrell Grant (Robert Patrick) steals a Smith & Wesson 5906 from his sister's trailer. Later, when he attempts to fire it at Malcolm Moldowsky (Paul Guilfoyle), nothing happens, and he tosses it away in disgust.

Darrell Grant (Robert Patrick) sneaks the pistol from a drawer in his sister's trailer.
Darrell aims the pistol at Moldowsky.
Darrell stares in confusion at the pistol after he pulls the trigger, but nothing happens. Exactly why is not made clear, but it is likely that, being both unfamiliar with firearms and stoned to the gills, Darrell has missed any number of important steps, including chambering a round, disengaging the safety, or even checking first that the magazine is loaded (in the book, it is because the gun's owner has attached a trigger lock, which Darrell, in his stoned condition, has failed to notice until that moment).

Smith & Wesson 5904

Nico (Antoni Corone), one of the guards aboard the yacht, carries a Smith & Wesson 5904.
