Smith & Wesson Model 36
The Smith & Wesson Model 36 is the sidearm typically carried by the NYPD detectives in the series, including Detective John Kelly (David Caruso), Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), Detective Greg Medavoy (Gordon Clapp) and James Martinez (Nicholas Turturro). Kelly's revolver is fitted with custom grips.
Colt Detective Special
A Colt Detective Special is seen in the hands of Ephraim Daniels (Brent Jennings) during a standoff in "4B or Not 4B" (S1E02).
