Medal of Honor: Vanguard is a first-person shooter set during World War II developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts, it is the tenth instalment of the Medal of Honor series of games. Medal of Honor: Vanguard was released on the 26th of March, 2007 in North America for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii.
The following weapons appear in the game Medal of Honor: Vanguard:
Handguns

Submachine Guns
M1928A1 Thompson
The M1928A1 Thompson is used by the Allies and is the one of the starting weapons of the player in some missions. Called 'M1 Thompson' in the PlayStation 2 version of the game, although it is more accurately refered to as the 'M1928 Thompson' in the Nintendo Wii version. Has a 30 round magazine by default, but can be upgraded to use 50 round drum magazines.
MP40
The MP40 is used by German and Italian soldiers (although the Beretta Model 38 would be more appropriate for the latter). Has an abnormally fast rate of fire in game. Can be seen in the hands of Corporal Garrett and Private Slauson at the end of the game.
Assault Rifles
Sturmgewehr 44
The Sturmgewehr 44 appears as 'StG 44' in game, it is used by the Germans, more specifically, the Fallschirmjager. Has an abnormally high rate of fire in game compared to its real life counterpart. Can be found and picked up on the Operation Neptune levels and can be more commonly found on the Operation Varsity levels.
Rifles
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is the main weapon used by American forces, it is also the starting weapon of the player in many levels, and the starting weapon for Americans in multiplayer. It cannot be reloaded without fully depleting the magazine. Can be upgraded with a scope, converting it to an M1D.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is the main weapon used by German and Italian soldiers (though the Carcano Rifle would be a more logical choice for the Italians). It is also used by German snipers. Extremely powerful and accurate even without using the iron sights. Not available in multiplayer.
Gewehr 43
The Gewehr 43 only appears in multiplayer, where it is the starting weapon for Germans.
Machine Guns
M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle
The M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle appears as 'BAR' in game, it is used by American soldiers. The player starts off with this weapon on some levels.
MG42
The MG42 appears exclusively as an emplacement. The MG42 has a high rate of fire, damage, and recoil, but low accuracy. The MG42 also has infinite ammunition, and is the only weapon in the game capable of overheating.
Sniper Rifles
M1D Garand
The M1D Garand is the only sniper rifle in the game, it can only be obtained by picking up an upgrade for the M1 Garand. Not availale in multiplayer.
Rocket Launchers
M9A1 Bazooka
The M9A1 Bazooka is the only rocket launcher in the game, it is also the only weapon capable of damaging half-tracks and tanks. The Bazooka is extremely powerful, capable of killing entire squads of infantry in a single shot. Commonly found near enemy armor. Not available in multiplayer.
Grenades
Mk 2 hand grenade
The Mk 2 hand grenades are used by the Americans in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Strangely, they will explode even if the player throws them without pulling the pin.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate is used by German soldiers, although they are unusable in singleplayer they are usable in multiplayer if the player plays as a German. Strangely, they will explode if the player throws them without pulling the cord. Picking up Model 24 Stielhandgranates in single player will give the player additional Mk 2 hand grenades.
