Don't Say a Word is a 2001 American psychological thriller directed by Gary Fleder (Homefront) and based on the novel of the same name by Andrew Klavan. The film stars Michael Douglas as Dr. Nathan Conrad, a psychiatrist whose daughter is kidnapped by a group of men, who demand that he recovers a secret from the mind of Elisabeth Burrows (Brittany Murphy), a young traumatized woman who only briefly communicates with others.

Sanatorium guard Arnie (Lance Reddick) also carries a Glock 17, which Dr. Nathan Conrad (Michael Douglas) later takes from him. Koster later relieves Conrad of his Glock near the climax. NYPD officers also carry this weapon as their sidearms.
