Third-Generation [[Glock 17]] pistols were for a long time the predominant weapon carried by almost all of the show's main male characters. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan ([[Shemar Moore]]) carried his Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight/laser module. B.A.U. (Behavior Analysis Unit) Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner ([[Thomas Gibson]]) and Dr. Spencer Reid ([[Matthew Gray Gubler]]) were also both frequently seen with standard Glock 17's. Reid exchanged his Glock for a .357 [[Smith & Wesson Model 65]] revolver in Season 4 while Morgan switched to a [[SIG-Sauer P226R]] (fitted with a TLR-1 Streamlight attachment) as his sidearm in Season 6, making Hotchner the only male main character that continues to carry a Glock 17. Other FBI agents and some police officers are seen with Glock 17 pistols.

SSA David Rossi ([[Joe Mantegna]]) carries a [[Springfield Armory TRP]], a model of which is used by the FBI's elite HRT, throughout the series, this suggests he may have been HRT/SWAT trained to use this weapon. Rossi also has a background of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, which also possibly helps explain his use of a 1911-type pistol.

Criminal Minds - Season 7 (2011-2012)

The following weapons were used in Season 7 of the television series Criminal Minds:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Pistols

Glock 17

Third-Generation Glock 17 pistols were for a long time the predominant weapon carried by almost all of the show's main male characters. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) carried his Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight/laser module. B.A.U. (Behavior Analysis Unit) Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) were also both frequently seen with standard Glock 17s. Reid exchanged his Glock for a .357 Smith & Wesson Model 65 revolver in Season 4 while Morgan switched to a SIG-Sauer P226R (fitted with a TLR-1 Streamlight attachment) as his sidearm in Season 6, making Hotchner the only main character that continues to carry a Glock 17 by Season 7 of the series. Other FBI agents and some police officers are seen with Glock 17 pistols.

Glock 17 3rd Generation - 9x19mm
B.A.U. Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) draws his Glock 17 in "Hit (Part 1)" (S07E23).

Glock 19

SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) uses a Third-Generation Glock 19 as her sidearm. J.J. (A.J. Cook) carried a Glock 19 during "Hit (Part 1)" (S07E23). Also carried by various police officers.

J.J.'s Glock is seen after an explosion in "Hit (Part 1)" (S07E23). Note the longer barrel as well as the accessory rail, a feature not on a Glock 26.
Matthew Downs (Josh Randall) pulls a Glock 19 is pulled in "Run (Part 2)" (S07E24).

Glock 26

A Glock 26 pistol is the duty weapon of the B.A.U.'s former 'Communications Liaison' (and now active profiler/analyst) SSA Jennifer 'J.J.' Jareau (A.J. Cook). The Glock 26 is also the backup weapon carried by both Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), both carried in ankle holsters.

Springfield Custom Professional 1911-A1

SSA David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) carries a Springfield Custom Professional 1911-A1 throughout the series. Rossi has a background of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, which possibly helps explain his use of a 1911-type pistol.
