Unknown AK variant

The AK-74 (without flash hider)or some similiar gun like WASR-2 or WASR-3 can be seen in hands of russian forces,Vietcong and NVA. Cant be AK-47, because mag isnt curved enough for 7.62x39.

Steyr AUG

The Steyr AUG is seen as the weapons for what only can be special forces.

Our skydiving protagonist takes "two is one and one is none" to a new level when he carries an AUG to complement his primary weapon, another AUG. You know, in case one explodes or something.

AR-15 Carbine

Throughout the game, it seems an unknown variant of the AR-15 Carbine that appears to have a 733 length barrel is seen in use. There are several scenes where it has a flat top. Even though a flat-top AR-15 weapon seems anachronistic, Rock Island Arsenal experimented with an AR-10 fitted with a weaver rail flat-top called the Model 656.

Note no brass deflector or forward assist as well as a strange tubular handguard. It is also missing carrying handle.

Note older style retracting stock, but apparently has a flattop with what looks like an early Colt scope.

The SPAS-12 makes an appearance in the game and is pretty Anachronistic, because was manufactured since 1979 and Tet offensive took place in 1968.

Crossbow

The Crossbow is a new weapon that will be featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is speculated to fulfill the role of a quiet, long range weapon. The crossbow appears in the campaign mission "WMD', which is set in the Ural Mountains, 1968. Crossbows can have different types of bolts which it can fire, such as normal bolts and Explosive bolts. The crossbow is a military grade crossbow that can attach a scope, which the player can steady.
