Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 remake of the critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4 originally released in 2005. As with recent installments of the franchise, the 2023 remake runs under the technologically-advanced RE Engine, featuring significantly improved graphics over its original game as well as its HD remakes. Along with new visuals, much of the mechanics have been remade and the gameplay itself being modernized to the remake series standards starting with the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Handguns
H&K USP
Replacing the hybridized "Silver Ghost" pistol in the original game, Leon starts with a heavily modified 9mm Heckler & Koch USP, known as the "SG-09 R".
SIG P226 E2
The "Sentinel Nine" appears as one of the exclusive Deluxe or Collector's edition weapon.
FN Five-seveN
The "Punisher" returns, along with its exaggerated ammo-piercing capabilities.
Mauser C96 "Red 9"
The "Red 9" also returns, and it can be found for free.
Springfield Armory XD/H2000(?)
The "Blacktail" also makes its return.
Heckler & Koch VP70M
The "Matilda" can now be obtained prior to beating the game, by spend X amount of Spinels.
Smith & Wesson Schofield
The "Broken Butterfly" returns once more, this time being more accurately based on a Smith & Wesson Schofield.
Colt M1911
"Killer7", making its return, you know the drill.
Smith & Wesson Model 500(?)

Shotguns
Remington 870
Winchester Model 1887
The "Skull Shaker" appears as one of the exclusive Deluxe or Collector's edition weapon. It is based out of the famous cut-down Model 1887 from Terminator 2.
Benelli M3 Super 90
The "Riot Gun" returns, though its model was taken from the RE3 Remake.
Cobray Street Sweeper / Armsel Protecta Hybrid(?)
"Striker", big spread, lots of hulla.
Submachine Guns
Steyr TMP
The Steyr TMP returns as well, under the "TMP" name as before.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Unlike the original game, the MP5A3 makes an appearance as the "LE 5", being an alternative to the TMP which can be first obtained for free in the Island levels.
M1A1 Thompson
The Chicago Typewriter makes its appearance once again, though it can be unlocked through the post-game shop.
Rifles
Springfield M1903A4
Now known as the "SR M1903" instead of the generic "Rifle" designation, the Springfield M1903A4 rifle can be obtained relatively early in the game.
Heckler & Koch SL8
Changed from the generic "Semi-Auto Rifle", the "Stingray" makes an appearance, bearing resemblance to the SL8 as with the original game.
Colt Model 933
Coming from the RE3 Remake, the Colt Model 933 makes an appearance in the remake as the "CQBR Assault Rifle", as more of an expensive, fast-firing rifle option.

RPG-7
The RPG-7 once again serves as the main rocket launcher throughout the game, featuring the same role as with the original game.

"Bolt Thrower"
Replacing the original Mine Thrower arm gun, a crossbow sorts of weapon known as the "Bolt Thrower" makes its appearance. Firing craftable bolts which can be retrieved after it hits.
