Picasso Trigger is a 1988 action movie about a group of Federal agents trying to track down and eliminate international hitman Salazar (John Aprea), nicknamed Picasso Trigger. It stars Sidaris regulars Hope Marie Carlton (Taryn) and Dona Speir (Donna) as agents and (of course) Rodrigo Obregón (Miguel Ortiz) as villain.
The movie was directed by Andy Sidaris as part of his “Bullets, Bombs and Babes” (a.k.a. “L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies”) film series. These action movies were predominantly filmed on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and featured a cast mostly made up of Playmates in the roles of secret agents.
The following weapons were used in the film Picasso Trigger:
Handguns
Beretta 950BS Jetfire
A true Andy Sidaris classic, the Beretta 950BS Jetfire is used by thugs and e.g. Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton) plus Salazar (John Aprea) who is seen disassembling one.
Dan Wesson Model 15-VH
Another Andy Sidaris classic, the chrome Dan Wesson Model 15-VH is used by L.G. Abilene (Guich Koock), most notably during the swamp shootout.
Luger P08
Travis Abilene (Steve Bond) carries a Luger P08) with a typical thick chrome barrel as his side-arm during the movie
Kimar 911
Several thugs, including Glen (Rustam Branaman) and a female agent can be seen with the Kimar 911, another classic in Andy Sidaris movies.
Single Action Army
Several agents can be seen with the Single Action Army, most notably Pattycakes (Patty Duffek) during the climatic casino shootout.
Unidentified Pistol
An unidentified thug can be seen handling an unidentified pistol. This same pistol appears to be used in other Andy Sidaris movies like Hard Ticket to Hawaii and Savage Beach.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
Both Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton), Miguel Ortiz (Rodrigo Obregón) and several thugs can be seen with the Uzi).
IMI Micro Uzi
Hondo (Bruce Penhall) uses a suppressed Micro Uzi during the night time attack on agents at the beach.
Sterling Mk. IV (Blastech E-11 blaster)
Edy (Cynthia Brimhall) can be seen with a Sterling Mk. IV mocked up as the Blastech E-11 blaster from Star Wars. The movie armorer probably took a toy gun, explaining this most improbable gun placement.
Rifles
Armalite AR-7
Pantera (Roberta Vasquez) uses an Armalite AR-7) to take out several thugs. In a detailed shot, she can be seen assembling the rifle in every detail.
Karabiner 98k
Salazar’s butler (uncredited actor) uses a Karabiner 98k during an assassination attempt at a cocktail party.
Ruger 10/22
Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton) carries a customized Ruger 10/22 with a scope and folded stock on her motorcycle while in Hawaii.
Shotguns
Colt Model 1878 Reproduction
Hondo (Bruce Penhall) and several thugs can be seen with what appears to be a replica of a Colt Model 1878 on several occasions.
Winchester Model 1300
Several thugs can be seen with a black Winchester Model 1300 with extended tube and pistol grip.
H. Koon Snake Charmer
During the cabaret act scene, Kym (Kym Malin) takes out a white-sprayed H. Koon Snake Charmer to apprehend a couple of thugs.
Miscellaneous
CCTV Missile Launcher
Salazar’s beach house is equipped with a CCTV system that has rocket launchers attached to the cameras.
Crutch Weapon System
Travis Abilene is given a weapon system mounted inside a crutch that can fire shot shell and guided missiles.
Explosive Boomerang
Donna (Dona Speir) receives a boomerang fitted with explosives as part of her equipment for the final scene.
Explosive Toy Buggy
Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton) uses a remote-controlled toy buggy, fitted with explosives, to blow up part of Salazar’s beach house.
Harpoon Gun
Donna (Dona Speir) wields a harpoon gun with explosives added on the harpoon against attackers on motor bikes.
Rocket Launcher
The agents are attacked by Glen (Rustam Branaman) firing what should represent a rocket launcher from a helicopter (!). This scene would be used as a flashback scene in Guns.
