The Promise is a 2011 British miniseries starring Claire Foy as Erin, a teenage British girl who accompanies her best friend Eliza to Israel when she is called up for national service. Irgun assassins use a Colt M1911A1 to shoot several British soldiers. Sergeant Len Matthews (Christian Cooke) starts carrying an M1911A1 after he is disarmed of his service revolver.

Hassan (Amir Najjar) fires an Enfield No.2 Mk.1* in a shootout with Irgun troops.

Irgun fighters are armed with the Karabiner 98k. In real life, the Karabiner, many of them Czech mausers, were used heavily by Haganah, Irgun and Palmach fighters.
