Set fourteen years after the events of Jurassic Park III, the film follows events surrounding the famed theme park and resort spinoff "Jurassic World", which has been in operation for a steady ten years without incident. InGen, now owned by corporate conglomerate Masrani Global, creates a new attraction: a hybrid dinosaur known as the Indominus rex. However, after a security breach, the Indominus escapes into the island, and Velociraptor expert Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and park manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) must work to stop the animal before it reaches the resort. The film co-stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, and Omar Sy, along with B.D. Wong returning to reprise his Jurassic Park role of Dr. Henry Wu. Jurassic World proved to be highly successful at the box office, becoming the highest worldwide grossing film of all time that was not directed by James Cameron, until it was surpassed later that year by Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Jurassic World would be followed in 2018 with the fifth installment: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and then in 2022 with Jurassic World: Dominion, which unites the cast of both the Jurassic World and Jurassic Park film trilogies. |

The rifle is fitted with a Leopold Optics FX-II Scout IER 2.5x28mm scope with a silver finish and a Butler Creek Ultra Padded Nylon Rifle Cartridge. The Butler Creek sling's shell holders are correctly seen filled with big .45-70 Government soft-point rounds. Interestingly, for a short time after the film's release, Marlin's website identified the 1895SBL as being ideal for hunting a bear, deer, hog, moose, or T. rex. It has since been removed. |

They fire "semi-automatically", with the "muzzle" of the taser rifle being a compartment that houses the shock "charges" (roughly three or four charges). Unlike real-world tasers, the charges are not connected through wires. The rifle itself seems to be how the charges are initially powered, as an ACU trooper is seen pressing the compartment onto the rifle which emits an electrical crackle. The charges, according to Owen, deliver twelve amps, which means that a full payload is delivering roughly 36-48 amps. However, since the voltage and frequency are not mentioned (and whether the charges run on direct or alternate currents), it leaves the taser rifles' actual effectiveness (and lethality) ambiguous. | + | Several ACU troopers as well as Jurassic World's park rangers use what is described as a "taser rifle" produced by InGen. Jurassic World is a 2015 sci-fi adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow and the fourth entry in the Jurassic Park film franchise.
The following weapons were used in the film Jurassic World:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Rifles/Carbines
Marlin Model 1895SBL
Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is seen carrying a stainless steel Marlin Model 1895SBL lever-action rifle with a gray laminated wood stock as his personal rifle of choice in the film.
Heckler & Koch HK417
Some of the InGen Security operatives throughout the movie can be seen with Heckler & Koch HK417s. In one notable scene, an operative is seen shooting down an escaped Dimorphodon with his HK417. The thick plastic magazine indicates its identity.
Mk 14 Mod 1 EBR
One of the InGen Security operatives is armed with an Mk 14 Mod 1 EBR that is fitted with a newer generation(?) Insight Technology Clip-On Night Vision Device - Thermal (CNVD-T; or SU-232/PAS) sight and a Crimson Trace Rail Master (CMR-201) laser sight, used on some weapons in the movie (including stunt versions) as part of a deal with Crimson Trace.
M16A2
An InGen operative carries a M16A2 while prepping the Velociraptors. Costa Rican Fuerza Pública are seen outside a hangar also with M16A2 rifles.
DRD Tactical Paratus
One of the InGen Security operatives is armed with a DRD Tactical Paratus with a Crimson Trace laser sight and Yukon NVRS-F 2.5x50 night vision scope.

M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 Carbine is seen used by various InGen Security operatives.
Unknown Suppressed Rifle
As Hoskins' team preps the Velociraptors, what appears to be an integrally-suppressed rifle can be seen on a table. It seems to be fitted with a Magpul PRS stock.

Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 29
In an instructional video, Jimmy Fallon as himself is shown using a Smith & Wesson Model 29 revolver to demonstrate the impregnable glass of the park's gyrospheres. He is heard mentioning in the video that the glass can stop a "fifty caliber bullet", despite the fact that the revolver he is using is actually a .44-caliber.
Glock 17
InGen Security operatives carry the Glock 17 as their standard sidearm.
Smith & Wesson Model 500
Barry Sembène (Omar Sy) carries a 4" Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolver as his sidearm. He is notably seen pulling it right before an encounter with Blue, the Velociraptor. The revolver is noted as such by its big bore and enormous cylinder. At times, the revolver appears to be loaded with JHP rounds.
Submachine Guns

Machine Guns
GE M134 Minigun
A pintle-mounted GE M134 Minigun is used by an ACU gunner (Kevin Foster) to open fire on the Indominus rex. Owen specifically states the weapon as an "M134" in the film. The audio however is a Browning M2 firing. Incidentally, the CGI storyboards shown in behind-the-scenes footage depict the helicopter being armed with a Browning M2.
FN M249 SAW Paratrooper
An M249 SAW Paratrooper fitted with an 9" barreled LMT M203 2003 L2B Grenade Launcher also is seen used by an InGen Security operative.

Less-Than-Lethal
"InGen Taser Rifle"
Several ACU troopers as well as Jurassic World's park rangers use what is described as a "taser rifle" produced by InGen. These are non-functional prop weapons which appear to be visually inspired by the integrally suppressed version of the Crye Precision SIX12.
The taser rifles are depicted in a rather unusual way. They are also equipped with underbarrel laser sights.
Custom Tranquilizer Rifle
Owen Grady, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), and Jurassic World rangers are seen wielding custom tranquilizer rifles to fire at the escaped pterosaurs. These rifles are loaded with box magazines and are semi-automatic. Jurassic World Property Master Guillaume Delouche stated in the Jurassic Props featurette that these rifles were made specifically for the film as there is no such thing as a semi-automatic multi-dart tranquilizer. He also stated that the rifle's automatic bolt action was powered by a nitrogen canister mounted in the stock.
CODA All-Purpose Net Gun
ACU commander Austin (Austin Priester) fires a net from a CODA Net Gun at the Indominus rex. According to Guillaume Delouche, the net gun was custom-made for the film.
Dan Inject Model JM
Some of the park rangers and security guards can be seen with the Dan Inject Model JM during the Pterosaur attack.
Pneu Dart X-2 Tranquilizer pistol
A Jurassic World park ranger can be seen armed with a Pneu Dart X-2 Tranquilizer Pistol. She hands Owen one of the custom tranquilizer rifles during the Pterosaur attack.
