Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 monster action-adventure film directed by Jordan Voght-Roberts and is the second installment in the Godzilla-Kong cinematic universe after 2014's Godzilla. The film follows a surveying team escorted by the United States Army sent to explore Skull Island only to encounter the titular creature, Kong. Set in 1971, all the weaponry and equipment appears to be from the Vietnam War era. The cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly.
The following weapons were used in the film Kong: Skull Island:
Handguns
Colt 1902 Military Pistol
Packard (Samuel L. Jackson) is seen aiming what appears to be a Colt M1902 military pistol at Bill Randa (John Goodman), an odd choice, since it would be 69 years old by 1971.
Assault Rifles
M16A1
Soldiers and scientists are all seen with the M16A1.
AK-47
A soldier (Shea Whigham) is seen carrying a AK-47-type rifle. It is not yet explained why an American soldier would be carrying this weapon, but it is likely to be a battlefield capture.
Machine Guns
M60
The M60 machine gun is seen mounted as door guns on the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (nicknamed "Huey" due to its original designation, HU-1) helicopters. A soldier is also seen carrying an M60.
Browning M2HB

GE M134 Minigun
A GE M134 Minigun is seen on a Huey helicopter.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
What appears to be an Ithaca 37 is used by a scientist (Corey Hawkins).
Launchers
M203 Grenade Launcher
An M203 grenade launcher is fitted to a soldier's M16A1.
M79 Grenade Launcher
The soldier with the AK-47-type rifle (Shea Whigham) also carries an M79 grenade launcher.
