The Purge: Anarchy is a 2014 action/horror sequel to the 2013 film The Purge. Set a year after the original film, Anarchy follows police sergeant Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) (going unnamed in the film) who sets out during the 2023 Purge to avenge the death of his son. After rescuing a young couple and a mother and a daughter from Purgers, Leo leads the group through Los Angeles in an attempt to survive the night. The cast includes Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, Zoe Soul, as well as Edwin Hodge, who reprises his role as Dante Bishop (credited as the "Stranger") from the previous film. Grillo would return for the 2016 sequel, The Purge: Election Year.

A Purger on a rooftop wields a megaphone and what appears to be a Heckler & Koch MP5A3. Charles and Thomas Hearst (Jeremy Fitzgerald) both use a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 before being taken out by Leo, who uses one for the remainder of the film. The wealthy purgers' bodyguards and security also use MP5A3s.

Shotguns
Mossberg 590 Mariner Cruiser
Diego (Noel Gugliemi) is also seen armed with what appears to be a Mossberg 590 Mariner that is fitted with an FN GL-1 grenade launcher. A Mossberg is also carried by a Purger on the street.
Remington 870
A Purger is seen with what appears to be a Remington 870 fitted with a saddle shell holder and weaponlight. Another gangster is seen with a Remington 870 without the light or saddle shell holder. A hacked video screen shows a Remington 870 among other weapons. Stock footage in the credits briefly show a Remington 870 being reloaded.
Kel-Tec KSG
NFFA death squad operatives are also seen armed with a Kel-Tec KSG.
12 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun
Mr. Hearst is seen with an Over/Under shotgun. Mr. Lockart (Mike Jerome Putnam) also uses one. The bodyguards and security forces also use over/under shotguns.
New England Pardner
Stock footage in the end credits show a boy firing a New England Pardner.

Some Purgers are seen wielding the AKM. Dante Bishop (Edwin Hodge) and Young Ghoul Face's (Keith Stanfield) gang use AKMs as their primary weapons.
