Far from the Motherland (Vdali ot rodiny) is a Soviet 1960 war movie directed by Aleksei Shvachko and based on the novel by Yuri Dold-Mikhajlik. Soviet intelligence agent Lt. Goncharenko operates in a Nazi occupied European state under the name of German officer Baron Heinrich von Goldring. His mission is to locate the secret underground factory that produces new types of weapons.

Pistols

Luger P08

Lt. Goncharenko (Vadim Medvedev), operating under the name of Heinrich von Goldring, carries a Luger P08. Lugers are also used by provocateur Ludwig (Evgeniy Baliev) and Gestapo officer Lemke (Georgiy Kozakovskiy).

Walther PPK

A nickel plated Walther PPK is Goncharenko's backup weapon. He gives this pistol to weapon engineer Eduard Strohng (Mikhail Belousov) after the latter escaped from the secret factory.

Early Waffenamt marked Walther PPK - 7.65x17mm Auto (.32 ACP). The screen gun is of same version.
