The Closer (2005 - 2012)

The Closer was a television crime series that starred Kyra Sedgwick as Brenda Leigh Johnson, a CIA-trained interrogator specializing in closing cases who accepts a job as the head of the Priority Homicide Division (later the Major Crimes Division) of the Los Angeles Police Department. Throughout the series, Brenda's unorthodox methods of gaining confessions from suspects causes friction between her and the detectives under her command. The series aired for seven seasons on the TNT Network from 2005-2012 and a spinoff series entitled Major Crimes premiered in 2012.

The following weapons were used in the television series The Closer:

Handguns

Glock 26

Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) carries the Glock 26 as her sidearm. Detective Irene Daniels (Gina Ravera) carried the Glock 26 as well from seasons 1 through 4.

Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) is seen with a non-gun Beretta when confronting a mob hitman who is seen shooting up the squad room with Lt. Provenza's weapon. The detectives are notably seen drawing their sidearms in Season 4's "Time Bomb".

In episode Serving the King, Part 2 (2.14) and L.A.P.D. SIS detective is seen with what appears to be a Wilson Customized Remington 870 shotgun. The Remington 870 is taken the place of the classic Ithaca 37 in the L.A.P.D.

In Season 4's "Time Bomb", the Major Crimes Division engages in a shootout at a shopping mall against a heavily armed and armored teenage spree killer who is carrying an M4A1 carbine assault rifle. This gun is used to wound Detective Sanchez.

Remington 700

In the episode Next of Kin (3.14) Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) is on a rooftop during a stakeout. He is armed with what appears to be a Remington 700PSS/700P. But with a green synthetic stock instead of the black stock. The Closer is filmed with the close technical cooperation of the L.A.P.D. so I'm assuming that the rifle is correct. A sniper (Conrade Gamble) being hunted by the squad can be seen with a Remington in the episode Show Yourself (1.4) as well.
