The Assassination (Original Czech title: Atentát) is a 1964 Czech black-and-white war drama directed by Jirí Sequens. The story depicts the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in 1942 which was perpetrated by Czechoslovakian paratroopers loyal to Czechoslovakia's government-in-exile. Trained and armed by Britain's Special Operation Executive, two resistance operatives are inserted into the country, eventually carrying out the assassination of one of the principal architects of the Holocaust. This is considered a cult classic film for those interested in war history.
