NCIS: Los Angeles is the first television spinoff of NCIS. The series stars Chris O'Donnell and L.L. The majority of the characters in the series were introduced during Season 6 of NCIS. in a two-part episode titled "Legend, Parts I & II". The series premiered in North America in September of 2009.
