Island of Lost Girls (original title Kommissar X – Drei goldene Schlangen ("Commissioner X - Three Golden Serpents")) is a 1969 German-Italian Eurospy film directed by Roberto Mauri. It is the sixth in Kommissar X franchise, series of seven films about the adventures of private investigator Jo Louis Walker (Tony Kendall), also known as "Commissioner X", and his friend, New York police captain Tom Rowland (Brad Harris). In this film Walker and Rowland investigates the kidnapping of a young woman in Thailand and counter "The Golden Serpents" crime ring.
The following weapons were used in the film Island of Lost Girls:
Handguns
Unidentified snub nose revolvers
Snub nose revolvers are seen in hands of Jo Walker (Tony Kendall), Tom Rowland (Brad Harris) and one of The Golden Serpents thugs. These revolvers aren't Arminius HW-1, widely used in previous movies, as the front sight and the extractor rod are quite different.
Unidentified revolvers
The Golden Serpents thugs use various revolvers. After Jo Walker (Tony Kendall) looses his snub nose revolver, he takes one from an incapacitated thug. This particular revolver has yellow grips and half-moon front sight, similar to the one of Colt New Service but it is positioned on the very muzzle end of the barrel, unlike the Colt.
Walther PPK
In the final scene Tom Rowland (Brad Harris) carries a pistol, tucked at his belt. The shape and size of the grip match Walther PPK.
Rifles
M1 Carbine
In the final scene some Thai policemen carry M1 Carbines.
Other Weapons
Gewehrsprenggranate 13 Rifle Grenade (mockup)
During the boat chase Jo Walker (Tony Kendall) uses a rifle grenade, fired from a revolver, to destroy the chasing boat. This weapon looks similar to the family of WW1 era German rifle grenades, especially by Gewehrsprenggranate 13 and 14.
M2 Flamethrower
In the final scene a Thai soldier uses a flamethrower, most likely an M2.
Trivia
Luger P08
On most movie posters and on promotion stills both Jo Walker and Tom Rowland are seen with Luger P08 pistols thought they doesn't use them in the film.
