Commandos 3: Destination Berlin (2003)

Commandos 3: Destination Berlin is the last real-time tactics entry in the Commandos series. It was developed by Pyro Studios (creators of the two prequels) and published by Eidos in 2003.The game is considered to be a huge step back from Commandos 2 because it featured less characters, missions, weapons and had a worse overall graphic quality.

The following weapons can be seen in the video game Commandos 3:

Allied weapons

Colt M1911A1

The M1911A1 returns from the prequels once again as the standard issue handgun of all the Commandos in the game. Holds unlimited ammo and can be fired as fast as someone can click the left mouse button. Exactly three shots are required to kill any enemy soldier.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I

The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I is used by Allied soldiers throughout the game, most notably during the D-Day mission.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I - .303 British. This was the main battle rifle of British and Commonwealth forces during World War Two, however, it was supplemented heavily with the older Lee Enfield No.1 MK.III. First placed in service with the British military in 1941.

Mills Bomb

The Mills Bomb is the resident fragmentation grenade in the game. In this game every Commando can use it, not just the Sapper as in the previous games. These grenades incorrectly detonate on contact.

PIAT

The PIAT is the most powerful weapon in the game, and should not to be wasted on normal soldiers. When the Germans bring the tanks and armored vehicles, this is the ideal way to dispose of them.

M2-2 Flamethrower

The M2-2 Flamethrower is a devastating weapon but only the Sapper is capable of handling it.

The Green Beret is seen holding a M1A1 Thompson with 20-round magazine on the cover of the game. The Thompson does not appear as a usable weapon in the game.

German weapons

Luger P08

Luger P08 pistols are usually carried by German officers. Its attributes are the same as the Colt's, but without infinite ammo. All of the Commandos can use this weapon.

STG-44

The Sturmgewehr 44 is one of the newly introduced weapons in the Commandos series making its first appearance in the "Eliminate the Sniper" mission set during the Battle of Stalingrad thus making it anachronistic. Strangely it has a 15-round magazine, and only one magazine can be carried at a time. Fires only in single shot mode, but that one round always kills the targeted enemy. Appears as "Assault Rifle", however the help-text for its magazine is "Machine Gun Ammo".

Gewehr 43

A Gewehr 43 sniper rifle is used by the German sniper in Stalingrad during the "Eliminate the Sniper" mission therefore making it anachronistic. In that mission Duke, the marksman of the Commandos must find and neutralize the Wermacht sniper. That mission was apparently inspired by the movie Enemy at the Gates. The generic German snipers also use it in later missions.

Mauser Gewehr 1898 / Kar98k hybrid

The Mauser Gewehr 1898 / Kar98k hybrid rifle returns from Commandos 2: Men of Courage however this time it is called "German Rifle" only. It is still a one-shot one-kill weapon and the ammo cap is 15 rounds for it.

Mounted MG42 machine guns are used by German guards mainly during the D-Day mission. The Green Beret can be ordered to pick up these MG's and use them against the enemy. All the MG42's have unlimited ammo.

Two Hafthohlladung grenades are used by the Marine during the mission "Destroy the Warships". Although these grenades were developed against armored ground vehicles, in this game they are used to sink two German submarines.
